The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch, A Destination Hotel has reopened following a massive renovation that took place this summer, transforming the independent resort and revitalizing its amenities. As part of the $10 million renovation, the resort boasts two new restaurants and a bar, a transformed main pool, a significant addition of outdoor meeting and event space, enhanced guest rooms, and a more open, welcoming feel throughout The Scottsdale. Formerly Scottsdale Resort & Conference Center, the charming property designed by legendary Scottsdale architect Bennie Gonzales opened 39 years ago on Sept. 4, 1976. The renovations have enhanced and updated the look of the resort, while staying true to the rich history and maximizing the aesthetic potential of the romantic, Spanish architecture. The resorts main entrance tucked away in an upscale Scottsdale neighborhood serves as guests first introduction to the property overhaul. The resorts main entrance tucked away in an upscale Scottsdale neighborhood serves as guests first introduction to the property overhaul. It was completely redesigned to feature new signage and lush, ranch-style landscaping.

The Scottsdale features 326 spacious guest rooms and suites, each with the elegant decor and residential ambiance of private haciendas, many of which offer spectacular views of fairways, gardens and pools. The 54 king rooms were completely renovated, 76 of the double-queen rooms were converted to king rooms, and all rooms in the McCormick building were renovated. All 266 updated guestrooms received new artwork and bedding, a headboard, carpeting, two chairs, a window table, new color schemes for a brighter look and feel, and desks. Twenty first-floor rooms now have private patios with access to the main pool. The guestroom corridor boasts fresh new paint, carpeting and historical Scottsdale artwork, all designed to brighten up the guest experience.

The resort's accessible features include valet parking or two self-parking handicapped spaces approximately 80 yards from the main entrance with access for people in wheelchairs to the lobby, lounge, restaurants, spa and 278 of our 326 guest rooms. Dining and some guest rooms are reached via elevator. Access the public areas of the resort through the exterior push-button door near room 107, another 15 yards from parking, after 10pm until 6am. The main entrance is staffed to open doors at all other hours. Although our Front Desk does not have a lowered counter for check-in/check-out, people in wheelchairs can be accommodated at the adjacent Concierge Desk. All meeting rooms and areas are fully-accessible.

Pets allowed free of charge with $150 refundable deposit. $150 refundable pet deposit is required against possible cleaning costs or damage. Pets must be non-poisonous and crated animals (resort does not provide crates.) Pets may not be left unattended in room unless crated and employees will not enter pet occupied room unless owner is present.

Very Unhappy!!

I was EXTREMELY unhappy with this hotel. Firstly there personal service besides for the valet was really lacking,Very unfriendly Staff. Secontly I was hit for additional charges that was never mentioned When I booked this Resort Online. One of the biggest problems I had with this Hotel is the lack of reception I had with my cellphone, If you Have A Iphone (with at&t service) Or Sprint. Do not stay here because you will not receive service inside of the hotel, you litually have to walk 1.5 blocks outside of the hotel to have a signal, which is a very bad thing if you're traveling for business and you need you're cell on at all times. I personally would not stay or recommand any of my friends to stay at this specific Hotel Ever.

Nice stay ruined by additon charges

Great hotel and service but there was additional Resort Fee of $16 a day. This information is buried amonst all the disclaimers. Not very ethical to state this is the "price" when it is really the "price" + resort fee. I would think that most of your users are basing their choice of hotel on price. This is more of a Cheap Ticket issue.
