Great if you love apartment living
Scottsdale Links has much more of an apartment feel than a resort typically does. Sure it's a condo/resort, but it still has the paper thin walls, shared common areas like the fire pit, and barbecue areas. The furnishings are ghastly! The couch and armchair are the upright, rough fabric, stiff ones that your grandma used in the less formal family room. The beds were both terrible as well. We actually brought the outdoor patio furniture chairs inside because they were that much more comfortable. The pool is large and family friendly, there's even a children's fountain play area, two cabanas that can be reserved for $100 per day or first come first serve. The hot tub/spa was a hit with everyone, and by everyone I mean everyone. There's plenty of room at the pool, it's fairly large, but there were so many people there at any given time that it seemed a little smaller than it actually was. It seemed as though locals not staying at the resort were allowed entry as well, I'm sure that isn't the case but typically when on vacation, at least for myself, I see the same people from one day to the next, but at this place i don't recall ever seeing the same person twice. The resort also isn't very close to entertainment or the nicer restaurants. The timeshare pushers here weren't as pushy as most. We simply said "we'll let you know" and that was that. Another terrible aspect of this place, albeit a somewhat minor issue, is the shower heads--serIously, the water pressure is like a firehouse! It was painful to shower! The positives; the staff was very accommodating and nice. We traveled with our 4 and 2 year old and the multiple bedroom option (2 or 3 BR) and the kitchen, were great for traveling with kids. We went to the nearby grocery store and bought breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the week and prepared everything from the kitchen, so that was convenient. The resort is located right off of 101 so getting around was very easy. The rooms are vey spacious and provide plenty of room for the entire family, we even had a 6 chair dining room table in an actual dining room! Overall, if you're looking for a family convenient resort, and don't mind the apartment feel, it's a decent place to stay, especially on a timeshare. I didn't mention the golf, it's the tpc course and wasn't ever very busy or full. You still have to drive to get to the course but it does back into 3 or 4 o h holes. If you like the resort/hotel feel, I'd recommend either of the Hilton resorts in Phoenix (squaw peak or tilapio hills), squaw peak is great for kids as well (it has 2 nice pools that were extremely quiet and private and a third gigantic pool in the water park area, which also has a slide, a lazy river, volleyball nets, etc).

Clean and quiet place, room was only cleaned every 3rd day but was not issue for us. Staff very helpful and the unit had all required cooking equipment. Only drawback was wireless was not included and had to be purchased thru ATT at about $30 a week.

Fun weekend staycation - would go back
Pretty good deal overall reserved a 1 bedroom suite and was given 2 bedrooms so that was pretty awesome. The sales pitch for time share at check-in was grueling and I could definitely do without that, it was awful! The pool was a pretty far walk from the room but the property was huge so whatever. The pool was also huge and very nice. After one of my many long walks to/from the pool my key didn't work so I called the front desk to ask if they could deliver since they had golf carts and it was 110 degrees and they said NO, you must come pick it up so that was sucky. Other than that nice but pretty average. Also it was nice to have dishes and all the necessities in the apt/room.

Excellent Deal!
This hotel had all the comfort and SPACIOUSNESS we needed. Just walking into the condo impressed us immediately! Thanks for the listing and the GREAT price for the two bedroom accommodations. The location near the 101 loop made Scottsdale's attractions easily accessible. The Sports Complex was just two blocks away, and yet the resort was in a quiet neighborhood. We will definitely come back again!
