Nice place

Great location, walked a few blocks for dinner. Pool was great, staff friendly. Breakfast and cocktail hour was nice except the only food at cocktail hour was popcorn and we expected a little more. Overall nice and we would return again.

Comfortable, great staff and good value

My 2-night stay at The Chaparral Suites Scottsdale was very pleasant and comfortable. The hotel lobby, rooms and pool area are well-maintained and clean. Nicely landscaped with beautiful flowers and trees. The staff was very helpful, prompt and courteous. The hotel is not too large, so getting around was fast and easy. Enjoyed the free breakfasts and evening happy hours. The 4th Floor Grille restaurant was also very good. Excellent black bean chili and cornbread.

Resort alternative

This was a really nice stay. We were out looking at real estate, so not really vacation and wanted a reasonably priced hotel. We couldn't believe how nice this hotel was. Staff was really pleasant, they have complimentary hot made to order breakfast which was great. We were able to eat and get right on our way in the morning. It was less expensive and nicer than several resort hotels in Scottsdale that we stayed at recently. Each room is a suite, with micro and fridge. Three sinks, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Highly recommend.

Girls Getaway!

I am a very high maintenance gal and appreciate clean, comfortable, and high end amenities. Chaparral provided a reasonably priced stay for our girls' trip. The complaints I have read were ridiculous. If you want more, you will have to pay for it. It is a bit dated, but it was very clean. The sports bar was busy, yet provided quick, prompt service. The food was delicious. My only small complaint would be that our air conditioning did not work, so we opened our patio door at night for fresh air. The shuttle was also really busy so we had to "cab it" a few times. I would recommend Chaparral for a reasonably priced stay in Scottsdale. If you want more, you are going to have to pay for it!

Just what we needed

The grounds of Chaparral Suites, Scottsdale, were beautiful, though not extremely spacious. The room was clean, although not new and showing some wear. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The location was within walking distance of the arts district and even Old Town, although most people apparently chose to drive their cars. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time at the hotel and in the surrounding area.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

The arts district has numerous studios with a wide variety of art to show and sell. Don't miss it. Also don't overlook Frank Lloyd Wright's winter home and studio, Taliesin West and the Boyce Arboretum in Superior.

Great value!

This hotel was great! We loved the fact that all of the rooms were suites, feels more homey then just a hotel room. Plenty of room at the pools, was never super crowded. Free breakfast was great, as well as the free happy hour in the afternoon. Would definitely suggest this place to others!

Wonderful week in the sun

I cannot recommend the Chaparral any stronger. From staff to room to free perks, it just doesn't get any better than this. Centrally located to any area of Arizona or surrounding area to explore. So easy learning the ins and out via car or motorcycle. Just awesome! I have found my comfort zone on any and all future trips to Arizona.
