very nice
My experience was a great one! The staff was very courteous, free internet, breakfast buffet each morning, access to two swimming pools...and cable equipped rooms...not bad at all!!!

Awesome deal for an Awesome Place!
I came to Phoenix for a quick business trip and booked The Phoenix Place Hotel and Suites based on other good reviews. I have to say those reviews were spot on and we were pleasantly surprised by the king sized sleep number bed in the room! The complimentary internet service was a plus, as most hotels charge a nominal fee to use. We took advantage of the Awesome pool with two large carved rocks both with neat waterfall designs. The garden landscape was very nice, and there was also a beach sand volleyball area along with a playground area for kids! The complimentary breakfast was perfect as well, couldn't have asked for more. The only thing missing was a spa next to the pool area. Overall it was worth it, Awesome deal for an Awesome place!

Overall good value
Staff was great. Facilities were great. Parking was ample and convenient. Only knock was the room air conditioner. While it blew cold, there was no way to moderate the fan speed. At the low setting it was strong and noisy until temperature was reached. Location was good next to metro line and hotel was otherwise a good value

Pros and Cons
Overall nice hotel. Pretty pool with stone landscaping but small. Nice, large and pretty courtyard. Pros include free parking, free wi-fi and free hot breakfast, though when busy, they had trouble keeping the food stocked. Our room was non-smoking but still had a musty, cigarette smell to it when you first entered the room. My biggest complaint/annoyance was that the maid did not replenish the complimentary shampoos and lotion when she cleaned our room. Minor but annoying.

Great Hotel !
This hotel far exceeds expectations considering the great price. Clean, comfortable, well appointed. Very friendly staff. Great complimentary breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, several fresh fruits including pineapple and strawberries, assorted juices, cereals, pastries...) The bar and grill is friendly with great food. The pool and grounds are very appealing. Super great choice!!
