Our Three Star facilities are the ideal place to spend your next trip to Phoenix. Families, individuals, groups, sports teams, corporate events, weddings, celebrations. Continental breakfast is served daily. We pride ourselves on excellent service, approachability, and clean and tidy facilities with a sweet 70's vibe. Once upon a time (way back when in the sweet sweet seventies) we were the hippest and coolest hotel. Under current ownership we have embarked on a back-to-the-future transformation, changing the Hotel 502 into a wee oasis of eclectic modernism which loves to have fun, look on the bright side of life, and embrace our individuality! Please note: A $10 Daily charge includes Wi-Fi Internet access and Continental Breakfast

under construction

This hotel is presently ---and has been for a couple years --under construction. The rooms are a dark, dingy brown. There is no computer available for travelers without their own link to internet. The shower pressure was weak and the head was stationary with no way to adjust it. There was no micro wave available in the evening to heat up food. Check out is at 11:00...better if it were at 12:00. The linens are sadly in need of replacement. Security in the parking lot at night is not the best. I was approached my first night, in the dark by my car, by a vagrant wanting money. Cleaning staff and breakfast room staff very pleasant. Desk staff just business-like....no warmth and real cordiality. They allow pets. For my first three nights, the room across from me had a dog that barked each evening until they returned late at night. The elevators are small and can hardly fit the rolling luggage rack in. I would not stay here again, in spite of the good location.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

Zia's records, books, Exchange. What a fabulous store. You can spend hours looking through their CD/DVD/vinyl collection, and probably find something from the common to the most obscure artists. They trade, so it's a great way to add to/change out your collection.

Hotel was not at all what we expected

The pictures of this hotel on line did NOT in any way represent the hotel. Hotel was dirty, room was not clean. Walls were torn up and air conditioner smelled so bad we couldn't turn it on. Mattress and box springs in horrible condition. Bathtub was dirty and sink didn't close. Had we not paid in advance I would not have stayed there. And to ask a $10 resort fee for a hotel of this caliber wad ridiculous!!

Never Again

My entire stay at this hotel was unbearable. The bathroom was dirty, the lights turned off and when I asked the management downstairs to fix it, the assistant manager urged the front desk clerk to go to the breakers and mess with them (she was very uncomfortable and insisted she did not know what she was doing and I felt it was dangerous for the entire building) because the fix-it man was too lazy and management was too cheap to have him clock in for such a thing. Half of the ceiling was pulled off of the bathroom and pipes and green mold was sitting over us while we showered. Not only that, during a 15 minute shower, the water turned from scalding hot to freezing cold 3 times and the shower head would not move so I would scream and try to move as far back without getting burnt. The assistant manager continuously rolled his eyes as I showed him pictures and told him about our stay. Never have I ever stayed at such a rude and disgusting establishment. Rooms are NOTHING like the pictures at all.

Hotel 502

Not Good! The hotel was under renovation, it needs it. It was basically a dump. The shower curtain rod was falling off the wall, most of the outlets didn't work, the beds were lumpy and the carpet was threadbare. The walls were thin and you could hear normal conversation next door as though the people we in your room. The pool area was nice, however the chlorine was so high in the hot tub that it burned everyone's eyes and lungs. It also bleached my daughter's new bathing suit. The breakfast was spartan but at least it was something. The brightest element was Pilo the clerk on duty when we checked in. He was very personable and accommodated me nicely with directions and recommendations. I would definitely recommend against this hotel.

uncomfortable stay

On arrival the hotel was still under renovations , We went into one of the rooms which was assigned to us and it was so dirty no bed covers and no lights.Twe asked to be put into another room with working lights, and they would not accomodate with better linens and bedding, we had only a sheet and cigarette burned thin thin blanket with no bed covers. It was cold that rainy night and nomatter what we dia the room was not warm and the bed covers were terrible! The towels were so thin and worn . It was a lot of money for that hotel Better off at motel 6 !!I felt we got cheated out of this whole experience we were so unhappy uncomfortable
