Continental breakfast is served daily. We pride ourselves on excellent service, approachability, and clean and tidy facilities with a sweet 70's vibe. Once upon a time (way back when in the sweet sweet seventies) we were the hippest and coolest hotel. Under current ownership we have embarked on a back-to-the-future transformation, changing the Hotel 502 into a wee oasis of eclectic modernism which loves to have fun, look on the bright side of life, and embrace our individuality! Please note: A $10 Daily charge includes Wi-Fi Internet access and Continental Breakfast

where to start

I was excited to stay in a hotel that looked so nice on like. The carpet is supper ugly and the room was out dated, the shower was so confusing I had to call and ask how to turn it on, the tiles on the ceiling where water damaged and pushing up, the hotbwatwe didn't work, I was switched to a different room with out any problems, I didn't feel the room was worth the money

horrible customer service and bad business practices

I was staying there while waiting for my apartment renovation. The first day i went there i asked if the couldgive weekly rate and was told no. 5 weeks later, after paying close to $70 per night for 5 wks i over hear another guest talking about her discounted rate for 2wk stay. But then i walked up to counter as the manager reassured a potential guest that they could work out a deal cuz the man was staying a week and didnt want to pay more than $55. You can imagine the way i felt after paying over 2,000 for the month. I filled out this review form and the next day i was kicked out and in a very rude way. Im furious and want to warn others that they will scam you and mistreat u when given opportunity

under construction

This hotel is presently ---and has been for a couple years --under construction. The rooms are a dark, dingy brown. There is no computer available for travelers without their own link to internet. The shower pressure was weak and the head was stationary with no way to adjust it. There was no micro wave available in the evening to heat up food. Check out is at 11:00...better if it were at 12:00. The linens are sadly in need of replacement. Security in the parking lot at night is not the best. I was approached my first night, in the dark by my car, by a vagrant wanting money. Cleaning staff and breakfast room staff very pleasant. Desk staff just business-like....no warmth and real cordiality. They allow pets. For my first three nights, the room across from me had a dog that barked each evening until they returned late at night. The elevators are small and can hardly fit the rolling luggage rack in. I would not stay here again, in spite of the good location.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

Zia's records, books, Exchange. What a fabulous store. You can spend hours looking through their CD/DVD/vinyl collection, and probably find something from the common to the most obscure artists. They trade, so it's a great way to add to/change out your collection.

Great Location

I enjoyed staying at the Day's Inn. It was convenient to every place you wanted to visit; like shopping, eating, the airport, downtown, etc. Great customer service. Nice restaurant for your continental breakfast. The hotel is old but it is well kept up. I will stay there on my next business.

Enjoyable Stay

I'm a graduate student, so I'm always on a tight budget. I was pleasantly surprised to see the up-to-date bedding and cleanliness of the hotel. There was a free hbo channel that showed recent movies and the A/C was great! The view from the window wasn't amazing but the pool was fantastic! My friends and I had a nice evening sitting in the jacuzzi with drinks and they supply you with towels as well. Housekeeping was nice and the restaurant that is connected to the hotel had really good food surprisingly. The light rail is just a short walk away so we never had to catch a cab or rent a car to get downtown for our conference.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Catch the light rail on Camelback and 7th Avenue to quickly get downtown and anywhere else in Phoenix if you don't have a car available.
