great for a small trip...
the hotel was extremely well taken care of considering all the construction going on. besides the heat, it was great. we had the pool to ourselves both days, walking distance to the d'backs stadium. would definately come back.

restaurants are few, but i definately reccomend Kincaids steakhouse, great steak and service.

Excellent Busines/Family Traveler value
The Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites, Downtown Pheonix-Ballpark had THE most accomodating and family like service. Each person knew what to do no matter what their title was. A great local team and I will stay there every time I return to Phoenix.

This hotel is in the heart of the downtown Phoenix,a few blocks north of the Baseball park and the 10 city block area, Cooper Square. This also includes the Convention center, movies, theater, shops, resturants,business services, museums and the Frank Loyd Wright designed Univ. of Phoenix downtown campus.

Great location for taking in a ball game. Took the grandkids and walked to a game as well as several area resturants. Was able to park our RV at no cost. The kids really enjoyed the breakfast and pool. Rooms were clean, spacious, and the beds were comfortable.

A great trip!
The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. And we had enough towels. Plus there were towels outside by the pool and spa. This hotel is within walking distance to the ball park and the prices were reasonable.

Wonderful - great value
From check in to check out the entire staff and Mgr. Mark Virt could not have made us feel more at home. Room was quiet, clean & comfortable with many ammenities including a fridge, microwave & a great tv with many channels.. The wonderful breakfast and the morning paper were an added benefit as well as fresh coffee 24/7. The location was 4-5 blocks to the convention center and ASU as well as several top restaurants. We could not have made a better choice.

Great getaway
The staff at the hotel were most helpful. We attended a Diamondbacks game, so the location was a plus, since it was within walking distance of the ballpark. The biggest problem that we had was trying to find 6th Street once we arrived in the downtown area. Not knowing that the street was not a thru street, caused us to drive around longer than necessary to locate the hotel. After not being able to find the hotel, we called and got further instructions from one of the staff members, then it was a piece of cake.

The walk to the ballpark was a treat in itself. We were able to enjoy the sights, and found a lovely area between the hotel and the park that had several dining facilities and shops. It also had a very unique garden area that was spectacular to walk thru.
