loud at night

The room was clean. The pool was cold despite heating, there was a attempt to be hip, but it lack some more basic comforts. Free snacks and a pleasant staff. A reasonable value. It was loud at night due to pool and resturant activities and in the morning children could be heard playing at the pool.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The hotel resturant was good but had a limited menu. The FEZ resturant was nearby and very good. Alexi' s grill offers a more traditional dinner a moderate walk from the hotel. Threr is a shopping center with a Deli and breakfast within a moderate Walk.

No Bueno on our 1 night stay...

We were charged a 'Resort Fee' upon arrival. We had to be awake by 5:30 am to make it to our son's military swear in. At 11:45 PM, we finally called down to the front desk because we could not get to sleep due to CONSTRUCTION WORK ON THE HOTEL! (Jack hammering, drilling... Pounding, etc!) It continued until 2 AM!!! We were told our 'Resort Fee' would be returned to our credit card.... It was never returned!

Great restaurant, old room, deceiving pictures

We arrived at the hotel and went straight to the restaurant. There were many tables open but the hostess said it was going to be a 20 minute wait, so we went to the bar and ordered drinks, then the hostess came back over and told us the table was ready. The food and drinks were great and very reasonably priced, all the sides are extra but it wasn't a problem for me. We then went to check into the room. The guy at the front told us the room was on the main floor but he could upgrade it for $20. They really try to get you to up-grade, so if you were thinking this hotel was a "good deal", then it would not be now. So we did the upgrade and they charged our card an ADDITIONAL $90. $20 for the upgrade, $20 for the "resort fee" and $50 for "accidental damages"??? Not sure what that was all about but we just wanted the room at this point. So now this room has cost us $200.00 since we had already "booked" it online. We went up to the room and this hotel is very dated. We walked in and there was a dark red substance on the door to the bathroom by the light switch, then when we pulled down the sheets of the bed there was black marks and something that resembled eraser shavings. At that point I was done with this hotel. We went downstairs and promptly checked out, didn't even stay 20 minutes. They were nice and said they would refund the money, but as of yet this has not happened, so I have been charged $200 for a room I did not stay in, but the manager is supossed to call me back and "let me know". I won't be holding my breath.

Phoenix

3 and a half. Cool vibe, people hang out in the restaurant, the jacuzzi and on the rooftop. The pool, jacuzzi and waterfall are nice. The rooms, stairs and hallways are kind of old. The concrete walls and doors to the courtyard kind of make it feel like a college dorm. If you want brand new rooms and a normal hotel feel, this isn't the place for you. If you like being part of a cool and fun scene then this is a unique hotel you will enjoy. We had a good time, but I would probably stay in a more conventional hotel next time and maybe visit here at night. Unlimited free snacks and soda/water. Free parking and wifi. 17 dollar a day extra charge (the free stuff isn't exactly free I guess). Bathrobes in every room are nice. My electronic safe didn't work.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Comedor Guadalajara is a 13 minute drive. Looks a little sketchy from the outside, but the food is awesome and reasonably priced. The inside is pretty nice and spacious. The tacos, enchiladas, and spicy salsa are awesome. I went to this restaurant two days in a row and I would definitely go back next time I'm in phoenix.

Horrible stay for the price

The entire staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, that was the only good thing about the stay. The pictures online were deceptive, making the hotel look more remodeled and up-to-date than it actually is. The floor and windows were dirty, the bathroom was very tiny without any counter space, there wasn't any hot water in the bathroom, they didn't supply the bathroom with enough towels, and the fan in the bathroom was extremely loud and old. The hotel was very old and it stunk. Not only was the appearance and cleanliness not up to par, but the staff did not control the guests. If you're looking for a good night's rest, do NOT stay at this hotel. The pool/hot tub closes at 12:00 am and the chaos of people running around/screaming/shouting continued throughout the entire night. We had to call the front desk to complain, but it did not resolve anything. The entire hotel encircles the pool area, so it's easy to hear evey noise that occurs outside since the walls are paper thin. Do NOT stay at this hotel!
