Problems, but responsive staff
Had to be moved from first room because air didn't work. There were 3 of us in the room, but we had to ask for enough towels every day of our 4 day stay. The maid was not cleaning the tub or sink until we pointed it out to the front desk. Staff was responsive to fixing problems, but the problems shouldn't have existed in the first place. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was average, but there is not enough seating if lots of people arrive at once. There is a variety of chain restaurants within close driving distance.

disappointing
Check-in employee almost seemed bothered to check us in, "upgraded" room was very crowded, full length mirror on bathroom door looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, bathroom vent fan was worse than useless, breakfast was not replenished adequately; and while we were eating we had a less than delightful view of the scattered, soiled pool towels which no one had bothered to collect the night before. However, the check-out lady was very pleasant. Also, the fragrance of the organic (or whatever) bar soap was so overpowering it almost made me sick.

1st timer to phoenix
clean but loud rooms
very loud if facing the freeway (1/3 of rooms)- so request to face the pool. We requested to be moved but hotel was full. Motel 6 on the other side of the freeway looked about same quality but was $20 less. Rooms seemed clean enough. Had to go get shampoo from front desk (they have no conditioner). Staff was nice but there weren't enough of them and they didn't seem very well trained- so to check in took almost 30 minutes. Pool is small and crowded. Breakfast is good enough.

Great Location
The hotel room was average. Nothing fancy but traveling with children I did appreciate the fridge and microwave in the room. The free breakfast was a nice amenity; however, it was very crowed. We grabbed a quick muffin then went to a nearby Starbucks. The best part was the pool. It was slightly chilly in the evening but our morning swim couldn't have been better. Absolutely wonderful location and the hotel staff was very friendly.

Short drive from hotel
Castles and Coasters is great! I took a 3 year old and he loved it. The arcade is wonderful- techs were working on keeping machines working and they have a great selection of new and old arcade games. Golf was lots of fun. We didn't hit any of the rides this time but we will make time during our next visit.

Vacation
The experience we had here was very noteworthy.Very professional staff. Room very clean,breakfast was good. Only 1 negative I would say there was no sound barrier between the freeway and hotel. Didn"t want to get up at 6Am. Will ask for the other side my next visit here.
