Good for the basics
We stayed here for my brother-in-law's wedding and festivities. The breakfast was good and the room was nice. The pool was, closed, however and there was no mention of that so we had to find another way to entertain our preschool daughter at the hotel. Also, they do not have cribs even though it gives you an option to request one. Good thing we brought our portable bassinet, "just in case".

Needs Quality Control
We checked in late in the evening around 11:30 PM. The Front Desk person was very nice and helpful. However, when we went to our room, it seemed as if it has not been completely cleaned. There were empty 2 liter bottles and a half bottle of wine in the fridge. The front desk gave us a different room. When we got to that room, it looked like someone had been sleeping in it because the bed was not made. The front desk said they only had one room left that they could give me. It was the ok but still had some minor flaws but it was late and my wife and I were tired of moving our things from room to room. Hotel needs someone to ensure the rooms are properly prepared before guests arrive.

Luxury-level accommodations at bargain price for multi-day stay
Stayed for the week to meet up with dear friends and see how the city has changed since we were kids. Loved the location and enjoyed clean spacious rooms. Fantastic rate for 3+ day stay. Friendly hotel staff and reliably clean rooms and common spaces made us feel welcome. I have stayed at this chain during a long clinical rotation in school in Northern Virginia and was impressed at the consistency of the Wingate experience. I've stayed at luxury hotels during my travels, and this hotel chain seems to do everything that really matters consistently well. Rooms are generous in size, wifi is powerful enough to stream entertainment from my iPad, bathrooms are generous in size, clean with plenty of good lighting and clearing fans that keep the humidity in the room under control after morning showers. I never heard noise from the hallway or adjacent rooms, and the maids respect the do not disturb signs on your door. The beds, both king and two doubles for this stay, were comfortable with plenty of pillows and linens that fit the mattress without producing the uncomfortable wrinkles or coming off the mattress as can sometimes happen during the night. The comforter was light and warm, and the thermostat in the room easy to adjust to our different comfort levels. I have always found the microwave and fridge convenient for leftovers, and I like the large closet with iron and ironing board. Work out facilities have everything you need and the staff have good suggestions regarding local attractions. I highy recommend this hotel for the budget conscious traveler who doesn't want to compromise on comfort, convenience, or quality of accommodations.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
Fantastic shopping nearby, both bargain stores and luxury fare, whatever you fancy. Great location, although traffic can be cumbersome depending on time of day- rush hour on 280 is a nightmare. Shopping and entertainment and eateries all around. Very convenient to all.

Good
The staff was very friendly at check in, the room was clean and comfortable. I stayed 3 nights the first morning breakfast was great fresh and good, the second morning the breakfast was terrible, it was as if it was the leftovers from the morning before and the sausage links were raw in the center, the third morning i skipped breafast altogether and went to a restraunt. Overall it was good hotel and a nice stay and a very good price, I would reccomend this hotel and stay there again.

A nice surprise!
Got in at 12:30am after an Alabama football game in Tuscaloosa. The front desk staff was so nice and patient even when I went to her twice to tell her our room keys didn't work. Realized I was trying to get into the wrong room! Comfy beds, nice clean room and bathroom and a delicious breakfast. Any hotel staff we came in contact with was polite and friendly. Thanks for a great stay!

disappointing hotel
I know that my room didn't cost very much but I thought staying at a Wyndham hotel I would get a great experience. This did not happen. The hotel was doing renovations and the carpets were all stained and disgusting looking. This hotel was in dire need of an overhaul. I guess you get what you pay for. It would have been a good idea if your website would have told me of the renovations being done and I would have chosen another hotel.
