wonderful stay for hair show
I was plesantly surprised at our stay at best western carlton suites in birmingham. We go to birmingham once a year for a hair show and i will always stay at this place from now on. very very friendly and helpful staff very very clean and wonderful breakfast and very nice room.

good overnight stay
Good overnight hotel. Needs alittle attention to a few minor things. Our bathroom door wouldn't close and stuck badly. Good litle breakfast

Don't see what all the raves were about...
After reading the reviews, I thought this was going to be a nice hotel - - WRONG! They try but fail miserably. TV is hanging on wall outside bedroom so you have to look all the way left to see it. But no bother because it is all red tinted anyway. Workout room had 8 year olds hanging out it in. Cleaning staff was rude but front counter lady was very nice. We stayed out as late as possible to minimize our time at the hotel since it was not very nice.

nice weekend trip
Our first trip to Birmingham. Hotel was easy to find and convenient to the rest of the city. Efficient staff; room was very clean and comfortable. Decent, but not great, complementary breakfast. Will stay here again the next time we're in town.

Short drive from hotel
Landry's, a seafood restaurant across the street, serves an excellent blackened mahi mahi. Birmingham has a very nice and large (bring walking shoes) botanical garden that is well worth seeing.

perfect room and location
The room was very spacious, clean, and didn't have that funky smell that most hotels do. The staff couldn't've been more pleasant and friendly! The hotel was in the perfect location.. Plenty of choices for dining and shopping. Gas station right down the street. Very clean part of town as well. Very happy with my visit

Worked well for us
Our family had to move from our house for a few days so a suite was neccesary as there are 6 of us & it worked just fine. Having breakfast was a blessing! The lady that worked in the morning at the buffet was sweet & there was always plenty of food & choices.
