Dining
- Equus Bar
- As part of our refurbishment, we've completely transformed our bar and lounge area to create the new Equus Bar. With its eclectic fabrics and decor, it recreates the 'gentlemen's club' atmosphere of the hotel's past, and celebrates our rich history with a range of contemporary cocktails named after famous former guests, including the George Bernard Shaw, Lord Kitchener, Winston Churchill and William Gladstone. The Equus Bar menu also includes an extensive selection of non-alcoholic drinks, including our Equus Cola, home-made to a secret recipe, traditional fresh Lemonade, Ginger Beer, Lychee Lemonade and Green Tea Cooler. The bar also serves bar food and light meals
- One Twenty One Two
- For almost 80 years, The Royal Horseguards had the Metropolitan Police as neighbours. They moved to new headquarters in 1967, but we've never forgotten them - or their famous telephone number, Whitehall 1212, which gives our One Twenty One Two Restaurant its name. Winner of two coveted AA Rosette awards for culinary excellence, One Twenty One Two attracts discriminating diners from around the world. With its inviting piano bar, innovative menus, fine wines and exemplary service, it represents the very best in contemporary dining. For smaller parties, we have the adjoining Terrace Room, which provides delightful views over the Thames.
- The Terrace
- Enjoy a drink or a meal on our outdoor Terrace, with the extravagant exterior of The Royal Horseguards - inspired, it's said, by the chateaux of France - providing a stunning backdrop for your mid-morning snack or your Champagne Afternoon Tea.
- The Lounge
- The Lounge at The Royal Horseguards serves tea and coffee all day, as well as light meals including our famous High Tea in the afternoon. An ideal stopping-off point at any time of day.
Meeting facilities
- Meeting Info
- There are few venues in London as prestigious as One Whitehall Place. Our dedicated meetings and events facilities, adjacent to and connecting with The Royal Horseguards, One Whitehall Place offers you truly palatial space, comfort and atmosphere. With its high ceilings, grand marble staircase, glittering chandeliers and spectacular views over the River Thames and the London Eye, it's a magnificent setting for weddings - four of our rooms are licensed for civil ceremonies - and events demanding a sense of opulence and theatre. Luxury London business & meetings facilities Our largest space is the dramatic Gladstone Library. An extravagant Victorian ballroom retaining a wealth of unique original features, which can accommodate up to 250 guests. We also have several large Suites, plus further meeting and event rooms suitable for board and team meetings, training sessions, presentations, interviews and private dining.

Great Location!
Hotel is in great location - close to tube and buses. Bed is very hard - so if you dont like hard bed- be careful. Room is not isolated enough - you could hear people closing their doors outside of the room. But I guess because of great location - I would return..

Worth the cost & great location
We stayed 5 nights here then switched to a smaller boutique hotel for the last 3 days of our stay...this place spoiled us and we didn't want to leave. I loved the bathroom...heated floors, wonderful shower, towel warmer. The room was small but workable. The only thing I didnt like about the room was there were a lot of gadgets and technology with no explanation of how it worked...little signs or instructions would have been helpful.

Huge disapointment
This hotel is supposedly a five-stars hotel, with all the amenities of a 5 stars. Well, I was really disappointed by this hotel: room size was ok, but the windows were in poor state, even closed, cold air could get in; hot water in bathroom was actually tepid; the gym only opens on 10.00 am during the week end (which could be ok for a small hotel somewhere in the countryside, but not a 5-stars in London!). Staff was not really friendly nor helpfull. I received a notice that because of the high number of clients in the hotel, I should take my breakfast very early. I will not go back to this hotel.

Excellent Service, Very Clean, Great Location
Booked a double deluxe room and it was everything it said it would be. Very clean, very well stocked with bathroom amenities, slippers, big towels, soft dressing gowns, ipod dock and speakers in the bathroom and bed headboard. Iron provided in the room also which was very useful before heading out! We were 10 minutes walk from Piccadilly Circus and 2 minutes from Embankment tube. Service was excellent with plenty of staff always on hand and very friendly. Only down sides were the view was somewhat disappointing, of metal fire exit stairs, a large guttering downpipe and almost no daylight even on the 6th floor (room 635). The bathroom fan was intrusively loud, so much so relaxing in the bath isn't relaxing but in the grand scheme of things was a minor bugbear in what was otherwise a great stay.

Does NOT have parking
The Amenities listed for this hotel are WRONG. It does NOT have Parking - nearest parking is on-street (so, hard to get) at Hyde Park. Since it has a No Cancellation policy, this could be a serious issue for the long distance traveller to discover on arrival from a long trip and then a drive.

Great Museum & Theatre getaway
Very pleasant and comfortable hotel in a great location for major museums, art galleries and theaters. We enjoyed being able to walk to most of the major art galleries and museums in the immediate area. Being close to the underground meant we were able to access Heathrow airport with the greatest of ease making being car less was a joy. No worries about parking and Congestion Charge.

The location was the only five star value for this over priced hotel. Small rooms, very expensive food. Fortunately, there are several restaurants and such in the area.

Excellent Hotel for couples
Excellent hotel, for couples and not for families with children. Central location, 2 min. walk from Trafalgar sq and Charing Cross station. The stuff was very polite and helpful. The 1212 restaurant is excellent but expensive. Summery: Very good hotel for middle age couples.
