a weekend in London

we had a clear room. the room was very hot, the pillows and bed not of best quality. but as it was only for two nights it was acceptable. i could not stay there for any longer period.... oh ye, the breakfast was very basic (could not offer hot chocolate for my kid)

excellent London layover

The area near Paddington Station is a very convenient place to stay if you are arriving and leaving from Heathrow airport. There are many relatively inexpensive and small hotels and I have stayed at quite a few of them over the past decade or so. The Nayland is one of the better ones, clean, well cared for and especially useful with a heavy bag is that they have a functioning elevator. The breakfast is a little dismal but I don't stay at hotels based on the breakfast.

The hotel isn't the fanciest, however it's kept very clean. The staff is great and the hotel is within walking distance to Hyde Park, Paddington & Lancaster Gate Stations. You can't beat the price.

clean but bring ear plugs

Ideal for seeing London right

Ideal for seeing London right near Paddington Station. We were told bar was 24 hour so returned for night cap only offered tea or coffee. This hotel included breakfast but very minimal continental. but for the cost clean basic ok

Tiny room. TV not working. No

Tiny room. TV not working. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Hotel staff argued with me when I kindly informed them about the TV. Single pane windows!!!!! We asked for a shandy in the tiny bar he had no lemonade!!!!!! Faulty Towers you have been surpassed.

Perhaps a little better than last

Perhaps a little better than last time I stayed here, but they still serve watery orange squash in the place of real orange juice for breakfast.

The Nayland is conveniently situated

The Nayland is conveniently situated near to Paddington Station, being less than 10 minutes away by foot. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms clean and very well maintained.We have stayed there on several occasions recently and will certainly stay there next time we are in London.

No Fan Nayland

No air conditioner or fan to keep you comfortable when it is hot. It is even worse when it is hot and raining.
