say as it is...
checked in and our room request for connecting doors was not available. the rooms were three doors away from each other. the staff was so friendly and nice though, they promised to change the rooms the next day and they did. great breakfast in hotel!! the location is super. walked and saw all the sights. bus and subway is right there too. also sheperds market is directly behind the hotel for lots of dinner options and pubs. the hotel it self is maybe a four star. i got the impression that we where booking at a 5 star but it wasnt. the bed was old and squecky, the carpet stained, no robes, wash clothes one day then not the next. bottle water in the rooms one day then not the next.

The staff were excellent and i
The staff were excellent and immediately responded to any request. The breakfast was very appetising, plenty of choice and the fruit was delicious. The location was superb and the views towards Buckingham Palace were wonderful. When the staff found out it was my birthday they gave me champagne and a card. I also tried the spa which despite having a somewhat offputting location gave a great hot stone massage.

A really nice hotel, and a great
A really nice hotel, and a great location, but never worth the money. We stayed in one of the Deluxe Rooms with Panoramic View, though the room was nothing special, and a little on the small side. The Breakfast is very good, and the service is friendly and of a very high quality.

Fading Glory
The Hilton was fair value in January and location of course is very nice. However the corridors are looking a little past their best and the place seemed to be full mainly of short stocky chaps and their "nieces"... However, hotel is clean, room was large with superb view and there's always plenty of cabs outside. On balance definitely better places to stay in London for the money...

Convenient location, nice hotel
Very nicely updated hotel right between Harrod's (Knightsbridge) and Picadilly Circus, walking distance to both if you don't mind walking. Just a short walk to Hyde Park Corner and Picadilly. You can take the underground and bus pretty much anywhere in London if necessary, so much cheaper than taking a taxi, especially with the dollar so weak. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Concierges were all very helpful. They are using some new elevator system (computer assigns you depending on which floor) that creates LONG waits sometimes during the busiest traffic hours. Because we forgot to change money the doorman paid our taxi fare for us so the meter wouldn't keep running. We paid him back when we left for dinner. Very nice of him.

Long walk from hotel
CHINATOWN: I've never seen a cleaner Chinatown than in London, just north of Picadilly Circus. For a few blocks, every storefront is a Chinse restaurant. They all looked good, but didn't have an opportunity to try it.

Great hotel, great location
Although check-in was 3pm , there was no room available when I arrived at 4pm. I had to wait for almost one hour until my room was ready.

Rooms are small, and without breakfast
Rooms are small, and without breakfast are very pricey. Issues with the room such as not enough towels, no tea & coffee in the room, and no guest services book in the room. Housekeeping staff were of a very bad standard, and the room I stayed in was looking very tired. Not what you would expect from a 5* hotel. Take away the glamour of Park Lane, and to lobby with the doorman, and I have stayed in better 3* hotels in London

Great location
Make sure you request a high floor. We were on the 7th fl and at 3:15am the restaurant/bar on the 28th floor close and the street was full of screaming people and honking cars for almost an hour... it was a Saturday night. Great breakfast buffet though.
