Hotel Verta

My fiancé and I stayed for two nights here for a break in London. We wanted a good quality hotel but not mega expensive. This hotel was perfect approximate 25mins ish from paddington on tube and over ground then either less than 10 min walk from train station or two mins on regular bus service. The hotel was better than we thought very clean, huge bathroom with lovely big bath and separate shower. The bed was huge and ever so comfy .. The breakfast was nice , selection of anything u needed and very tastyi indeed. The staff were all very polite ans helped if we needed anything (directions etc) . We would defiantly use this hotel again if in London and highly recomend it .

Great service, yummy breakfast. A little out of the way but there's a bus stop right outside or you can take the shuttle to Sloane Square.

Hotel fine. Location and no resturaunt mad it a little difficult in the evening. Schuttle one way handy. Had to find a cab or a bus back.!

We were welcomed by concierge who helped us with the car, luggage and booking in. We were too early for our room but they dealt with transferring our luggage to the room and it was waiting there for us when we got back from site seeing. The hotel is very modern and the staff cant do enough for you. The room (308) was lovely and comfortable, turning the bath on was confusing, because the taps are quite stiff you are not sure whether or not you are doing the right thing! just turn them very hard. Watching telly in the bath was great! The cushions and the bed were very comfortable. The only drawback I thought from the room was that the drawers werent very big. The meals were very nice indeed and not very expensive, the breakfast was great and eating our meals in the bar area was very relaxed and casual. We didnt get chance to eat in the dining room as this was closed so cannot comment on clothing requirements there. All round it was very nice and comfortable and friendly. The shuttle is handy but getting back is a bit of a trek but well worth it.

Would definitely return. Location not great but overwhelmingly balanced by quality of room and free spa facilities. They also drive you to a more convenient tube location free of charge. Worth every penny we paid.

Stayed here after a work trip to London wanted somewhere to chill out with good food and staff. Arrived to the area and was instantly taken aback, the area is run down and not a great area at all, the hotel itself is down a dark alley way and hidden slightly, certainly would not be able to sleep if my sister for instance was staying here alone. I was told that they couldn't accept my laser(Irish Debit card) and that I needed to go to an ATM to give them a deposit before they could let me check in. Absolutely dreadful service for a '5' star property, granted great rooms, but terrible area you wouldn't want to be walking around on your own! Staff were bad too! Having stayed in 3,4 and many 5 start property's this has been the worse in a long time.

Felt like we were celebs .very high standards and good quality.

Spar facilities make this hotel ideal for a mid week recovery. Superb staff and comfortable room

Firstly I'd like to state I had a lovely stay. Hotel is modern, staff friendly and spa is a great addition for free. You can really feel the money has been spent on the place well. Breakfast wasn't included and although the continental was nice certainly not worth £19. Cooked breakfast however was huge and well worth the money as you also have the continental to choose from. Two things let it down for me - triple glazing knocks out any phone signal. This was a big issue for me trying to arrange meeting friends as you are effectively cut off but for the odd bit of reception now and again. One thing to counteract this would be free wifi in the rooms - unfortunately you have to pay and it's not cheap. Secondly is location - the nearest tube stop is Vauxhall which is a good 20-30 min bus ride with the nearest bus stop a 10 min walk. Nothing they can do about that but be warned - we got 'accosted' by a bloke on Battersea High Street who followed us off a bus. Admittedly it was the early hours but I'd recommend a taxi if heading back after a late night

We have just had a very relaxing two days. The staff were friendly and attentive; the room was high-tech; and the views were wonderful. We'll be back
