Business trip with extra days in London

It is a very good hotel, especially considering its price for such an amazing location. The subway station is around the corner and the hotel is in the walking distance to major attractions. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, nothing special, but pretty comfortable. You have everything a person needs: a coffee maker, nice shower and plenty of towels. When I am in London, I am usually staying at a different hotel but after my experience with this one I am ready to switch.

Perfect location

Easy to get to from Gatwick Airport by train to Victoria and underground to Gloucester Road station, which is just around the corner from the hotel. The area is beautiful. Nice museums just nearby. Portobello Market, Kensington Gardens and South Kensington´s shopping streets also quite near. We really enjoyed our holiday and will use this hotel also during our next visit. The staff was friendly and the breakfast delicious. Thank You!

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Visit the Victoria and Albert museum Friday night (open until 22 pm). The atmosphere was lovely with nice music and a glass of wine before strolling through the exhibitions.

Great location, wonderful staff

Alan, the concierge, was absolute class during our stay. He never got frustrated despite our constant questioning. Even got us on the proper train to Paris after we were not informed that our original had been cancelled. The rooms are small but comfortable, and it is <5 minute walk to about 20 restaurants and the Glouchester Tube station. Perfect location. Very close to Stamford Bridge, for those unfortunate souls who are Chelsea fans ;) Definitely would recommend this hotel for anyone on a budget, who is spending more time out doing things as opposed to sitting in the hotel room.

Great Location

If you want to be within walking distance of Kensington Palace/Garden, Hyde Park, the V&A and Natural History Museums, and the Royal Albert Hall, this is as good a location as it gets. The Gloucester Road tube station is right around the corner from the hotel on the Piccadilly, Circle, and District Lines so you can get anywhere very easily, including the cheapest way to and from Heathrow (taxi = 60 GBP vs. 7 GBP tube fare). There are numerous restaurants, pubs, bakeries, grocery stores, and shops in the neighborhood. Also, Kensington High Street shopping (e.g., Harrods) just a tube stop away (or a bit further walk). Hotel internet access is not included and is expensive. Also, no breakfast included and no frig in the room.

Eating out in London is very expensive. Pick one meal out (full English breakfast, fish 'n chips lunch, or dinner) and use the grocery store to cover the rest of your meals.
