overall it was not that great
We stayed for 1 night. Whole night i stayed awake, walls are very thin that i can hear someone's snore talking from room above. Design of the hotel is for town home not for a hotel. For the price that we paid it is not worth it. Only good thing was the location.

Good location, helpful staff and clean - but not 4 star
The hotel is well located and staff were friendly and helpful. However, the single room was very small with barely enough room for a single bed. Shower was also so small you could not turn around. Sound proofing was inadequate and conversation from the next room could be heard clearly. There were also no black out curtains. Breakfast was reasonably priced, a good variety of items were provided and servers were attentive. The breakfast room was, however, very crowded and cafeteria like. Brewed coffee pitcher was placed on a plate, not a warmer, and coffee was barely lukewarm.

Good hotel in central London
The staff were very cordial and always offered a warm drink since it was cold and wet outside. The only negative is that there was no lift/elevator and my room was on the very top floor. Also, my room didn't have its own bath. The room was very clean and felt very well maintained. I felt that my belongings were safe in my room. The location is not far from Victoria station which is a nice benefit. I will most likely stay here again when I return to London.

Family break
Staff were excellent from start to finish. Breakfasts also excellent value in fact rivalled some hotels we have stayed in. Rooms clean and comfortable and good value. The only criticism would be the showers. They lacked power and were erratic regarding temperature. Location was good... Just over 5 mins from Victoria station and tube.

It was OK!
Family-owned business; house is old but still beautiful; room was small - hardly any space to put our luggage; has no AC or lifts. The hotel's main advantage is its proximity to the coach and train stations. There are also several restaurants and shops nearby. The neighborhood is quiet and private. Breakfast buffet had good selections, but turned out to be not included in our vacation package so we had to shell out 25GBP for eating breakfast there for 2 mornings. We were told when we checked in that it was included but that was neither here nor there. We only stayed in the hotel for 3 nights; our stay there was just OK.

Eh, wasn't impressed
I booked this hotel because of it's great reviews. Honestly, I wasn't impressed. The room was terribly small. I live in New York, with 3 other roommates, and the room was still smaller than my current living situation. The staff is nice and they clean the room daily, which is good because of how cramped it is. But honestly, I would probably try my luck somewhere else next time rather than staying here again.

Small and uncomfortable
The hotel staff were great and the room was extremely clean. However, the room and bathroom were so small they were uncomfortable. You literally could not stand in the bathroom and use the sink, you had to be standing in the room with the door open to stand at the sink. There literally was just no room. Small is one thing, but so small that a room is unusable in not acceptable. The location was great is you were using the underground. The hotel was a mile or so from Buckingham Palace, but you did have to take a train to get anywhere as no place was convenient by foot. It was an okay experience, but the price was way too high for what we received. I would not stay there again and I would not recommend this hotel to a friend or colleague.

Good Value
This place was exactly what I was looking for; small, not a chain, a little more unique, centrally located and affordable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and a good size. I had read a few reviews that complained about the size of the room but I felt it was the perfect size for me. The room was on ground level in the front and by the reception desk so it did get noisy at times with street noise and other people checking out early in the morning but I feel like that's kind of part of staying in a building in a big city with a whole bunch of other people in it. Breakfast was NOT included (I found reading in the fine print of most of the deal listings that when it said "breakfast included" it really meant "breakfast available") however I was able to eat there and was charged when checking out. I liked having the option to eat there or elsewhere and I found that a similarly sized breakfast at a chain restaurant near Victoria Station cost about the same amount. Speaking of Victoria Station, it was only a few blocks away providing easy access to three major tube lines. If you feel like your hotel stay should put you in the lap of luxury than this place may not be for you, but if you want clean accommodations and a helpful staff to answer all your questions than this place will be just your speed.

Time-saving tip:
Not Applicable
If you're staying a few days it is definitely worth getting a week long travel card. If you ride the tube twice a day for five days it pays itself off and it's really great to be able to get around quickly and easily without having to bother with getting tube tickets or putting more money on your card. Especially since most American debit cards don't work in the ticket machines and you have to go to the ticket window every time.
