Perfect location for us
To find was a problem as post code we had was incorrect but on calling the hotel correct post code was given and found hotel with no problem.( this needs to be sorted) reception staff very helpful, we were given an adjoining room and could here every word the next door people were saying and their television we asked to move and this was no problem, the next room was perfect. Breakfast was everything you could want. We did have a light evening meal and this was very good. We used the tube which was perfectly situated to get to in no time at all. All in all a good weekend. Thank you staff at Tara Copthorne, wil see you again.

Great value for the area! will stay again
Love this place, location is less than 5 minute walk from tube station Price is outstading for the area. Think "retro", not outdated. Décor is 1970's ish which was probably when it was build. Could care less that it doesn't have free internet Concierge outstanding, restaurant prices decent and room very clean. Was able to leave bag there at 11 am though check out wasn't until 3, they let me check in at 12:30. You are perfectly situated in the middle of everything. Be sure to walk to Kensington Palace about 10 minutes away, and pick up some sandwiches at Marks and Spencer for a picnic in Holland Park, a "don't miss" place also 5 minutes away via walking. The Muffin Man is also a local neighborhood tea shop you don't want to miss.

Ideal for runners
The huge buiding has no charm whatsoever, but the room was clean. Located near a subway station and very close to Hyde Park, which is convenient to go running in the morning.

Very nice hotel perfectly situated in Kensington
This hotel is a great option in beautiful Kensington for a very reasonable price. The rooms are large and clean. Internet is a paid option, which is a disappointment, don't know when hotel management get the message...internet is no option it's part of life and needs to be offered free of charge all over the hotel. The bar is nice and has large flatscreen to enjoy a good game of soccer ;-) If you do not fancy to have breakfast in the hotel just around the corner you have The Muffin Man, a very enjoyable Tea room.

Great Hotel !
I stayed here to visit London and it was perfect ! Walking distance to subway, great room service, stores, cafes and pharmacy in front of the hotel. Alse there are some sightseeing spots within walking distance. Book a Tour in the Lobby they were very friendly and helpful

Great location for a stay in London
The hotel is in a perfect location, right near the tube, a great neighborhood and lots of shopping and resturants. The hotel does need a total facelift.

comfortable room and bed, very clean, good value, staff helpful. near tube and buses, shopping, restaurants, Kensington and Hyde Parks and more. we were there as a couple for 6 nights and would book there again.
