Stay in Central London

There was no aircon in the rooms and the heat was very uncomfortable and almost unbearable. Even leaving the window open during the night did not help. We reserved a triple room, and was squashed with a temporary bed into a very cramped small room. This was the worst accommodation during our tour of the UK. Old run down interior. The concierge desk staff was not really helpful and friendly, contrary to their purpose in the hotel to assist guests. Only positive is the location.

Shocking

Noisy, no electricity, paper thin walls. I stay in many hotels for work and pleasure and this is the worst I have ever stayed in. Do not stay here.

Good location

Although the rooms are on the small side (minuscule sized bathroom), the location close to Kensington Palace and Notting Hill makes up for this. A reasonably priced bolt hole for a quick visit to the capital.

grotty hotel

Stayed here on business trip. Great location. Friendly staff. Regretted booking this hotel as soon as I stepped out of the lift. Graffiti etched into face of lift doors. Was then met by damp musty smell that got worse when I opened my room. Room not very clean, had big clump of long hair next to the bed and another in the bathroom (i have a shaved head so defo not mine ). Curtains were ripped and filthy dirty. Bathroom size could be an issue for the larger framed person.Room overlooked dirty roof windows & pipework. Would not recommend this place to anyone

Sleepy staff, ok location

The rooms facing the street were quite noisy. We first got a room on level 8 - which is the basement! No windows, luckily we managed to change the following day. Booked four rooms, none of them were next to each other. Staff not too interested in helping, other than that ok.

Great location, serviceable hotel

I was in London visiting family, which also involved trips out of town, so I wanted a convenient, centrally located hotel. This one fits the bill, it is walking distance from London Paddington, you can be at Heathrow in 30 minutes. It is even closer to the underground, so you are minutes from Oxford Circus, and less than 30 minutes from London Victoria. At this location, you can get around London without using a taxi, not even to get to the airport. Its great. The hotel has a bar, that opens into the reception area/lobby - it is a really well lit bar! Despite this, the general lobby area is nice, not outstanding in any way but okay. The problem occurs when you go to your rooms, the hallways are dark with old school carpeting and unremarkable walls. The double room has a reasonable size, it is on the large size of small. :-) It is dark, it is functional but not fancy. A basic room.
