Clean and pleasant
Very convenient hotel; quick walk to the Underground station; the room, although on the small side, was pleasantly decorated and very clean. Also appreciated the free internet access. All around, I felt very comfortable at this hotel.

Great location - clean rooms
I picked this hotel because of the good price and proximity to the tube. I didn't even appreciate until getting to London that I was on 3 different tube lines at the Gloucester stop which was super convenient for everywhere I wanted to go. Staff was very friendly, the room was clean and had great AC. Wish the room had a tub, but that was no big deal. Elevator doesn't go to the fifth floor, so be aware if you have any mobility issues to make sure you are on an accessible floor. I would happily stay here again.

Shopping tip:
Long walk from hotel
Harrods is right up the road from the hotel (as are the Natural History and V&A museums). A short walk by NYC standards, but probably a long walk for most.

GREAT Location!
Seriously can't beat the location! It's located right across from the tube! Nothing special about this hotel, but it was clean and the staff was helpful! It's also right by a hop on hop off bus stop. It was inexpensive and a good location. I might try somewhere different if you're looking for some more "frills" or nightlife. I would stay there again.

Excellent hotel
Decided to spend a couple of days in London on holiday. We basically needed a clean and comfortable hotel to spend 3 nights, as most of the day we planned to go sight seeing. I must say that Best Western The Cromwell was perfect for us, the rooms are small but adequate, modern and clean! Not to mention the bed was very comfortable and we had no trouble sleeping after a long day traveling. Our room was cleaned every day with new sheets and towels. The room also comes equipped with a kettle and free coffee, tea and hot chocolate (These are topped up whenever there is room service). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in was at 2pm but we arrived early so they offered to keep our luggage in a safe place till check-in time. Same thing when we checked out, flight was late at night so we decided to check out and leave our luggage at the hotel till it was time to catch the flight. The location is also very convenient, its just 1 minute walk from the tube!

Excellent Choice in Prime Location
We absolutely enjoyed our three nights here. As stated in my blog review (http://www.mymariuca.com/2010/10/european-escapade-first-hotel.html), there was no room for complaints! Location is EXCELLENT, room very pretty (small but comfy) with all the facilities needed to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. Would definitely return when in London again, thanks Cromwell! :)

The hotel was great. Nice, clean,
The hotel was great. Nice, clean, everything looked new and fresh. Wonderful bathrooms with a large shower and big soft towels. The room in general was a bit small, but otherwise great. The hotel has a gym and a bar. They offer a breakfast (typical british), but we did not try it. The location is fantastic, just across the street from the Underground, and in a nice area. Lived on the 2nd floot, and it was still very quiet.

The hotel is a few mins walk from
The hotel is a few mins walk from Gloucester Rd tube station which makes it very easy to navigate from. Staff were friendly and helpful, although we had no real need to make use of them as such! You can walk along to the Natural History museum easily, and also along to Hyde park etc. We got a good deal on the hotel, and although the rooms were a little on the small side, it was all that was needed for a few nights break - we only slept in the room. Would stay here again.

Very convenient position on Piccadilly
Very convenient position on Piccadilly line near South Kensington. Our room had a significant patio area - more than made up for the 1 foot space next to the bed each side, there was, however, a lot of room at the end of the bed.

We stayed here early December,
We stayed here early December, the location is excellent. Across the road is Glaucester tube which is in the city circle line. The room is very small as to be expected but it was very clean and the bed was so comfy which made it hard to get up in the morning! The reception staff were helpfull and friendly. The only bad thing I can mention us the noisy heating system but apart from that it's a good base when visiting London.
