Good Value
This is the second time I stay at this Hotel. Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious (compared to European standards). Staff is quite friendly and helpful. The Hotel is connected to a Shopping Mall Which has an adequate food court on the third Level and a nice Italian Restaurant at the Ground Level, in addition to various stores and services. The location is a bit far from the city center and major tourist attractions in Geneva.

Good place to stay
Not luxurious but quite nice and comfortable. It's a few miles away from the downtown tourist sites but they provide free bus passes and it's only a 10 minute ride with many buses running. No problem unless you want to stay downtown past 10 PM and then the buses are not too frequent. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Don't be put off by lack of aesthetic surroundings. It's attached to a shopping mall located between railroad tracks and a soccer stadium. The mall was convenient for some shoppping and meal options. No noise from trains. The room rate is a good value. Extra's however, such as the bar and breakfast, are expensive. We ate breakfast at a coffee shop in the mall. I'd stay there again.

Alright.
This hotel is nothing special, but it'll get you a good night's sleep. Don't expect a spa with a dozen hot tubs and a handsome maiden to give you a hot towel, and you won't be dissappointed. It's quiet enough, it's got reasonably-priced parking, and even though it's not extremely well-located, if you have a car, or if you take a taxi, you're not more than 10-15 minutes away from the more happening places in Geneva. Like most places in Geneva, the staff speak English as well as French, which is very helpful. The only drawback if this place is that it is located IN A MALL. I had the hardest time finding the place, as the signs and indications for where the hotel was were few and small.

excelent location
The first two days were business and the final two, pleasure. A lovely city and the hotel provided FREE of charge a ticket for our four day stay. The 10 minutes to airport is correct, however the trip to the center of town is 20 minutes. The mall (as part of the hotel) is very convenient and interessting. [...]

Fantastic friendly service
Excellent hotel, friendly staff and very clean and newly furnished room. The icing on the cake would have been if this hotel was nearer the centre of Geneva but the Hotel makes up for that by giving guests a free pass for transport, making town only 10 minutes away. Highly recommended and great value.

This may not always work, but I understand that a double room is charged the same as a triple. Just book a double then request an extra bed if you'd like to save.

Best people on reception desk
Best people on reception desk I have met. Not very nice air conditioning in rooms. Good price for Geneva hotel. Odd location: no fun if you want to walk the streets, but brilliant if you have a car and want to drive out of Geneva or to the airport. Handy covered shoppoing centre adjacent.

The hotel is away from the city but they give you free transport passes and that makes it easy to get around, the bus is almost at the front door. Would book this place again.

very nice hotel, exceptional service
The hotel was in the Carouge area of Geneve, centered in a large shopping center/convention hall. The concierge gave us complimentary bus passes that dropped us in the center of Old Town in about 14 min. The room itself was modern and spectacular- so restful that we slept much later than intended! the second morning we requested a wake-up call so we would not spend our holiday sleeping! one thing of note is that while the hotel serves breakfast (22SF per person) and lunch Monday to Friday, there is only a bar open til 8pm in the evening as far as I could tell. there is, however, an Italian restaurant with patio dining just outside the hotel entrance. the pizza is delicious! this hotel is a great deal for the price- clean, sleek, modern and the service is definitely five star. if you don't mind taking a short, easy bus ride to be in the heart of Geneve (the bus collects you right across the street, it could not be easier) the Encore is the perfect place to stay! we hope to return to Geneve and will absolutely stay here again.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
The hotel is right next to the Stade de Geneve: if you arrive on a Saturday night as we did, take care for parking since there will be lots of fans coming and going! we ate dinner at the Italian restaurant on the patio, and could here all the fans cheering. pretty cool!
