Dining tip:
Not Applicable
If your looking for really nice restaurants, you will need to do your research. There are too many all you can eat buffets, fast food places & restaurants with pictures of the food in lights on the side of the building .. Go to La Latina for Tapas.... Other than that you heed to research!

Excellent central location
A modern hotel with interesting design. Very comfortable beds, pillows and large room. I don't really consider this place a real "hotel" more like corporate suites. There is no hotel lobby or bar, no bell service. It served our purposes well, but if you are looking for the "hotel" experience this is not it. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Close to tourist attractions and right and less then 5 minutes walk from the Metro line. It is in the hip and busy part of town, at 1PM the sidewalk cafeterias are still full

Great location, maybe not a 4 star though
Hotel location was ideal, most of hotel was very nice, although the unique decor won't appeal to everyone. The shower left something to be desired-- terrible water pressure, and it's next to impossible to shower without getting the entire bathroom wet! Also, staring at oneself in the full-length wall mirror while showering was a bit surprising. Outside of that, very nice. Almost worth staying here for the marble spiral staircase alone.

Great location
The hotel is in a great location, close to the metro and in walking distance to many famous sights. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly, and the hotel has a great roof terrace.

Take the metro and visit the Madrid zoo. It takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Walking from the metro station to the zoo you will have a great view of the mountains north of the city.

Hollywood on the Gran Via
Very good services. The location is good for partying and shopping but very busy for relaxing. The decor is not for everyone--Greta Garbo mixed with Liberace via Rocky Horror--but great fun if you get it. Exploring the great Madrid museums and nearby neighborhoods are musts. The decor would profit greatly by cleaning and lighting the beautiful stained glass panels behind the glass elevators.

Don't miss the Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts on the way to the Prado. Excellent Goya and much else in a beautiful building, and not so busy.

The hotel is in an excellent location
The hotel is in an excellent location in the center of Madrid. It is 10-20 minutes walking distance to several of the shopping districts and tourist sites. It is about 5 minutes walk from the nearest subway station which gives you very easy and fast access to the rest of Madrid. If you are driving there is a public car park in the laneway next to hotel which offer 20% discount if you get the ticket stamped at hotel. Room was clean and offered a reasonable view. Decor is unusual however all things considered this hotel was good value for money and suited our needs very well. Hotel staff were reasonably friendly and helpful and all spoke English well.
