The Nh Barajas is situated in a privileged area, within the triangle formed by the A-2 motorway (Barcelona), the most important fair center of the city (IFEMA) that is only 6 km away, and Madrid-Barajas International Airport that is 3 km away. The hotel has an complementary shuttle service to connect with the airport, from 6,00 to 23,30 hours. The nearest metro station to the hotel is El Capricho, where you can take line 5 to get to Puerta del Sol and the historical city center. There is a shopping centre a few steps away with restaurants, cinema, shops, etc. If you arrive by car, the hotel also offers parking spots in an underground parking. At a 5-minute walk you will find a nice historical Park, called " El Capricho" dating from 17th century. This is one of the most famous parks in Madrid, where you can walk or practice sports while enjoying some wonderful views. Our 173 comfortably appointed rooms provide en suite facilities, free internet access, direct dial phone, radio, TV and pay TV and video games. Start your day with the new NH Antiox breakfast, that goes a step beyond healthy breakfasts. It features a long list of foods rich in antioxidants that prevent aging, increase defenses, and protect against cardiovascular problems among other things. Great Madrid Stopover

We have stayed at NH Barajas Hotel twice in the past two months. It is not luxurious but it is very clean and well cared for. The breakfast is included in the room price and it is quite good with excellent variety. It is very close to the airport and has a complimentary shuttle bus to and from the airport which makes it the perfect stopover if you have to stop in Madrid on your trip to somewhere else. It is a short 1 1/2 block walk to a Metro stop which makes a good choice even if you do want to go into the city and see some of the sights. I would definitely stay again.

Not what you would expect

Not what we expected. We were looking for an airport hotel to rest between flights. The price was fine, but we had two serious problems: 1) we had to wait for one hour for the shuttle. Not only that, they said on the phone that it would come in 45 minutes. We were not happy with it, but what could we do. But on top of that, it arrived 15 minutes late with some lame excuse (giving excuses seems to be a national sport here) while we were "cooking" in the sun with our luggage. A very bad start.2) Internet was not for free. [...] details about this property include: "wireless internet", but free access is limited to half hour in the lobby only. It does have wifi in the rooms but it is not for free, they charge 10.60 euros per day. This is ridiculous. Nowadays, "wireless internet" implies for free. Giving for free only half hour in the lobby leaves you with the feeling that you have been ripped off. In summary, I do not recommend this hotel, they are not serious.

This is a lovely Hotel with great

This is a lovely Hotel with great rooms a bit tricky to find and virtually closed in August. Restaurant etc closed! Should be great but Aug is a bad time to pass through as they seems to close everything and run on a skeleton staff. This is somewhat strnage when they are right by the airport.

En terminos generales es un NH

En terminos generales es un NH mediocre de 3 estrellas, pero lo que menos nos gusto fue que nos alojamos en el edificio anexo donde no hay ningun tipo de personal del hotel, llegando a pensar que estabamos solos en dicho edificio. La cafeteria estaba cerrada. Y el tema del transfer, tuvimos que insistir bastante para intentar reservarlo para llevarnos al aeropuerto y al final no lo conseguimos. Finalmente nos pagaron el taxi.
