Excellent location
Good value and excellent location for Madrid - central, very close to a Metro station and with own car park. Difficult to find when I arrived in my own vehicle as it's on a very busy square amongst a complex one way system plus nearby underpass to complicate matters further. While I don't believe the hotel had it's own restaurant, this was not a problem at all asthe hotel is adjacent to an excellent cafeteria and had 24 hour room service. Would happily stay there again.

If driving there, do your homework before travelling to the hotel. Use Google maps to find out exactly where the hotel is on the square. Try to find out as much about the one way system in that immediate area.

good value, great location
The hotel was not hard to find, using bus from airport and taxi from stop. we were 4p with luggage so two taxis were needed. The staff at checking in were too familiar to us with not well recived comments. Room was clean we stayed 6 nights, we had to lived a tip with a note to please change linens after 4th night. the others did not so their linens were never changed. Out of the hotel the surroundings were grate we had the main street a few steps to the east the royal palace around the corner to the west, a small park in front with historic monuments, a metro at the corner. We ate breakfast at VIP for 5 euros and dinner at Di Boca Italian rest. for 9 euros. Visited three main museums and took a trip to Toledo a medieval city. All in all we had a great time.

Wonderful
We stayed here for the first four nights of a long trip and it was a great way to start the vacation. It ended up being the best place we stayed the entire time. The rooms were nice and big, the bed was comfortable and you even get a pretty full kitchen to cook and store food in. The location is really great, about 50 meters to the metro and the Grand Via. The only downside was that the wifi isn't free in the rooms, but is pretty cheap to buy. Great place

Better Speak Spanish
We arrived a day late due to an Iberia Airline strike and even though I informed them two days in advance they still charged us for the missed night. The hotel has a great location -- walking distance from palace and several good places to eat. Everything else was average or below. The night staff could speak only Spanish and were no help at all. When asked for help with a taxi they walked you out to the street and showed you how to hail a cab. The TV was all in Spanish - no international news. Internet worked in lobby only. Next trip I will find some other hotel.

This apartment was just lovely.
This apartment was just lovely. We couldn't believe our eyes when we opened the door. We had a view over a -park from one window and a view of the Royal Palace from the bedroom. It is right at a metro station although Madrid is such a walkable city that we only used it to get to and from the airport. The kitchen seemed well equipped although we ate out.
