Awesome Hotel Less than 5mins walk from Atocha!

Mixed Feelings
Had an initially horrible experience at the reception at check in. First gave an unfair exchange rate for the dollar that wasn't even close to the market rates, then when i am checked into a room and charged for internet, there is no internet connection possible in the room and also the heater wasn't working properly. Then sent a maintenance rep for the internet and air. He wasn't able to fix it. i asked for a room change and they initially refused till someone checked in next to my room and had the same no internet connection problem. The reception staff was unproffesional. The only reasonable employee was the computer tech. I was finally moved to a new room on a different floor and it was fine from there.

It's near Atocha, which is good if you're going to be using the train, and the subway isn't too far away, but it's not the best place ever. No one speaks fluent English.

Awesome Hotel Less than 5mins walk from Atocha!
Fantastic Hotel! It is very close to Atocha. There is a bus stop 1/2 a block away to the city center Bus 26 and 32 but double check we trying to remember which bus number is it. It has AC,mini bar and Wifi we paid 6€ each day.

Simple but your needs are met
It is by far not a luxary hotel; but it will meet your basic needs. The walls are thin and you can hear a lot through them. The food at the cafeteria and resturant was good but expensive. The staff was helpful.

Good hotel
The hotel is close to Atocha train station. We were able to take the train to Segovia. The trip is long but we did not change to a different train. The only problem with the hotel is that we did not see any place to eat nearby. Our friend has to go to the train station to eat breakfast because it cost 15 EURO to eat in the hotel. I will be happy to stay there again. I it is very close to the park and you can take buses in front of the hotel.

Agumar Hotel Madrid
The hotel was very comfortable, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job. I only speak English, so the staff was very competent, if not overly friendly. The location was close enough to Atocha station that all of our day trips were very convenient. The bus practically stopped on the doorstep. A grocery and several bars were close. My only complaint was the street noise, but I don't know if any hotel in central Madrid could do better.

Great location near Atocha railway station
Location is great, near the Metro, Atocha Renfe Station and Retiro Park. Hotel is 4 star, clean and adequate. Street is busy. Thought the staff were a bit 'cold', could have been more friendly and helpful.

Great location right off Sol
Overall good value and great location. I got a smoking room even though I requested non, but I am okay with that. The staff was super polite, I overslept way pass check out time, I got a phone call at 2 pm asking if I am checking out very politely, and when I did check out, no charge and no comment on being late. The hotel is a little older, but for the price, it was great. Will definitely recommend.
