Hidden gem
It's only a few blocks from here to the metro, the famous La Rambla, or Catalunya Square. There are plenty of shops nearby, so you can stay local or quickly get to wherever you're going. Plus, it's close to a dropoff point for the airport bus, so for just a 5-minute walk, you can take the bus instead of an expensive cab. The Internet is free, which is rare in European hotels, and the rooms were clean and looked nice. The mattress was a bid thin and hard, but I've found that in almost all my Europe hotel experiences. The staff was incredibly helpful, kind and patient in every way. Can't get any better. In all, you can't beat the price, especially for the location. I'll stay here every time I'm in Barcelona from now on.

Short walk from hotel
To get to the airport, take the Aerobus from nearby Catalunya square. You'll save a lot of money over both the train and a cab, and it can't be simpler. The route has about four stops, so it's impossible to get lost.

good hotel in excellent location!
everything went well during our rip.. we had 2 rooms for four persons. good and clean. breakfest was good too, even though nothing special.. loation is great!! 2 minutes to La Rambla or Plaza de Catalunya

Nice overall
Great staff excellent bathroom, beds were typical 2 singles pushed together, a little annoying that they weren't attached in any way, so scooted apart all the time. Otherwise nice.

Flamenco Dancing Dinner is a must while in Barcelona. Very close to the hotel and a delightful evening walk.

Great Stay, Great Location
This was our first time visiting Barcelona (and our first time traveling as a couple!). We found the hotel in Rick Steves' Spain book and could not have been happier with the stay. The hotel was in a perfect location- just far enough from Las Ramblas that even with the windows open, there wasn't loud noise from the streets. We were steps from 2 Metro stops and were in a safe area. The room was clean and had plenty of room. The bathroom was much larger than we expected and the AC was a great touch! We didn't bring a computer to slow us down, so it was great that Hotel Reding had computers to use. We would absolutely, without any reservaion, recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona!

If you have a couple of days and are planning to do the big sights- Sagrada Familia, Montjuic, Parc Guell, I would suggest taking the Metro/Buses. Barcelona has a great public transportation system and allows you to buy a 10 pass card that can be shared among travelers. This is a great way to get around the city without paying an extravagant amount for a tourist bus or taxis.
