Dining

Murmuri Restaurant
Murmuri Restaurant is a spacious and luminous space where it is worth noticing the theatrical velvet sofa that the interior designer Kelly Hoppen has created. With a selection of original and delicious dishes the restaurant is nowadays the best fusion of Asiatic and Mediterranean gastronomic establishment in town. Exquisite cuisine of the highest quality, with gastronomic proposals that combine pleasure with healthy eating.
Bar Marfil
Bar Marfil offers the best sushi and suggestive coctails in town in the most dynamic terrace you will find in Rambla de Catalunya. There are two main areas separated by original folding screens made of rings of black oak designed by Kelly Hoppen for Century. Neutral colours blend perfectly with the light shade of aquamarine of the sofas, stools and some Rococo armchairs.
Petit Comite
The Petit Comit Restaurant is located in the centre of Barcelona in the Passatge de la Concepci, between the Passeig de Grcia and the Rambla de Catalunya. Petit Comit represents a return to the roots of Catalan Cuisine and also a tribute to our traditions. The atmosphere, -where even the smallest detail has been taken care of-, is relaxed and modern. The restaurant has been conceived as a place to recreate those dishes that form part of the "corpus" of Catalan Cuisine. Our driving spirit is to recover forgotten dishes and also to reinterpret, in a personal style, the classic and the most popular recipes of Catalan gastronomy.

Ther staff was courteous, professional, & friendly. Adjoining restaurant & bar very expensive. Would definitely stay again.

Liked it enough to go back. Chic, comfortable, compact and convenient but surprisingly no tea or coffee making in room. Easy delicious and economical snack breakfasts available from the bakery shops just around the corner. If you have time take a look at the free access "swimming" pool on the roof of sister hotel Majestic LOL but worth an evening visit just for the humour, a drink and the view.

Bugs

We spent the first 3 days of our Honeymoon here before leaving on a cruise. Staff was attentive, good location (away from very touristy area). However, we had bugs flying in our shower. When we told the staff, they stated it was common and they would spray. However, the next night we still had bugs.

Simply Excellent

Perfectly located. Just one block to Metro Station and Bus Touristic, by the way, the perfect way to visit Historic Bcn's places. Staff is very kind and helpful. Walking distance of tons of restaurants. The room was big enought for 2 and everything was absolutely clean.

We'd go back any time

Very nice people at the front desk. Got us into our room early, so we could rest. The room was very nice. Showing a few small signs of wear - a nick in the bathtub, a couple of stains on the carpet, but nothing major. Well kept and clean. The 5th floor kept us above the street noise, but also allowed us to look down at all the people strolling along Rambla Catalunya. Perfect location - great shops and restaurants close by. Walking distance to Casa Batllo and Sagrada Familia and also to El Born.

Would definitely go back

Great location. Small friendly.comfortable, beautifully decorated and appointed. We stayed for 9 nights and loved every minute of both the hotel and the city. Great restaurants of every type near by. Near public transportation.Hotel bar is fun. Only had breakfast in restaurant as wanted to explore outside restaurants but restaurant menu looked good and ambiance is great.

if you get to a popular restaurant before 8pm you should have no trouble getting in. Many restaurants do not take reservations so going towards the early side usually means that you arrive before the Barcelona residents.

Fabulous stay in classy Murmuri

Such nice memories and Murmuri Hotel reminds me of quite a few of them. Friendly staff, great suggestions from Receptionist (our favorite with a great smile and amazing attitude) for Tapas, Flamenco Dance Show. Would highly recommend this place. Fabulous bathrooms, huge showers, comfy beds. Include our breakfast in the package you'll get to taste the best ham, cheeses, fruits and coffee. A true 4 star. Close to everything. One drawback kinda expensive internet access card. But who needs internet when you're in Barcelona!!

Luxurious luxury

Met by friendly staff and entered a very modern elevator, room, and bath. The room is whiz-bang with Grohe faucet that looks like a waterfall and electronic mood lighting that comes on automatically when you put your keycard in the slot. Modern and relaxing with flat-screen TV. Very large bath with extremely luxurious amenities (incl. robe & slippers). We were told by a guide that Murmuri guests can use the Majestic's pool & exercise room, but sightseeing took up all our time. Everywhere you walk and look in Barcelona, there is architecture that is exciting and wondrous.

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

We visited the Picasso Museum, the Palace of Music, and the Farmers Markets. We got the hang of the Subway/Underground/Metro very fast and avoided the traffic, using the T-10 ticket (10 Euros) for 10 rides in 24 hours (and it can be shared by multiple people). All the attractions were amazing, especially the Palace of Music, built around 1900 using porcelain, glass, & iron. Don't miss the tour - we would have liked to see a concert there. The hotel is at the top of the very long Ramblas which is the cruising area that has a center pedestrian area. This area has sidewalk cafes, ice cream, and souvenir stores, and we found a Farmers Market (not the grand one) that was beautiful to photograph.
