THE LOCATION WAS WONDERFUL, THE FREE SHUTTLE PICKUP AND DROP OFF AT THE AIRPORT WAS WONDERFUL AND THE HOTEL IS LOCATED THREE BLOCKS FROM ONE OF THE LARGEST SHOPPING/DINING MALLS IN BARCELONA. FREE SHUTTLE TO DOWNTOWN BARCELONA/PICKUP WAS A REAL MONEY SAVER TOO. FOOD AT THE HOTEL WAS WAAAAAY TOO PRICEY, BUT WE ATE AT THE MALL - GREAT OUTDOOR CAFES FOR BREAKFAST AND DINNER. WE WALKED TO THE MALL THREE TIMES A DAY. A PLEASURE. , THERE IS A WONDERFUL ITALIAN RESTAURANT UPSTAIRS IN THE MALL - TRY IT! HAVE FUN WITH THE LIGHTS NEXT TO THE BED!!

First time in Barcelona
Before warned! Stay elsewhere!
Lonely area. Check-in after breakfast 9:30, so there were no options but to go out and find a place to eat. Restaurant was closed. Thankfully, there is a mall, IKEA and Carrefour within ten minutes walk, nice. (their sister; hotel Frontair Congress is much better). There is only one desk person, who only gave info about hotel services if asked, there is no welcome info. We had a third floor and was a small dark cramped place, where most of the time because the lighting system was a challenge to use. The A/C worked only if switch was in high position. The walls were dirty. Shower needed curtain, but clean water hot. Perks, airport shuttle, but be sure to go to Terminal 2 for flts on Airberlin, A long ride otherwise.

There is IKEA a Carrefour also a great mall for everything nearby approx. 10 minute walk from hotel. A variety of eating options at the mall. This is where you will see everyone, because area is desolate and lonely.

Great hotel
Our hotel stay was a great experience. It's very unique in design and structure. We spent one night from our cruise transfer. The location is close to the airport and from public transportation which can take you straight to the main downtown area, Las Ramblas. We would stay at this hotel again.

Terrible
The hotel located in the middle of nowhere, so to return in the hotel in dark time was not comfortable. In my room air conditioner did not work. At 3 am they found another room for me, but i had to wake up at 6 am, so the night was horrible. Never stay in that 4 stars hotel again

Good hotel with free shuttle service
I was looking for a hotel with airport shuttle service and good connention to the center of the city. This hotel provides you a free airport shuttle service and has good public connection to the center. I used the hotel shuttle to the center coupe of times and also puchased T-10 trip cards for the metro. It worked well for my case. The staff at the hotel was very friendly as well.

Good location, Great Price
It was a really nice hotel, very price effective! The views were beautiful and it was very close to a bus station and metro station.

Great Hotel
My husband and I spent a two days at Fira Congress Hotel before we went on a 7 day cruise. The room was ready when we arrived early on Thursday. The room was basic, but was perfect for it's needs. The bed was two twin beds pushed together (not the best, but it worked). The bathroom was right as you walked in the room. It had a walk in shower with a rain shower head, a separate room with the toilet, and a his and her sink. The room has automatic lights that come on and off when you put your room key in the holder. Staff was very helpful. Spoke English enough to help us get around the city.

The subway in Barcelona is easy to use and is only 2 blocks away from the hotel. You can get to La Rambla in about 15 mins by subway. The hotel also has a deal with the tour bus which is walk on, walk off. There are two tour buses in the city, the deal is on the tour with two different lines. The other tour bus has three different lines.

Great price for the location
I stayed in Barcelona for a few nights before and after a Meditteranean cruise. After staying in one hotel (which I will not name), I decided to change to this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend. Great location (away from all the touristy stuff) yet convenient to public transportation. Great price at approximately 30% less per night stay than the hotel I was previously registered. The room were much more spacious and comfortable.

Nice experience
There was several things that need to be repair, even the air conditioning. Also some of the employees does not have enough knowledge to help and give alrternatives to problems we found like, no wireless signal on the room and where to buy personal articles because of an emergency.
