Fun and comfort at beachside resort on Isla Verde
Children and adults will revel in everything there is to do at the ESJ Towers. This oceanfront resort is located on beautiful Isla Verde Beach. The vast, seaside patio is lined with palm trees and has a huge pool and hot tub. There is a separate area where kids have a playground and pool of their own. There's a large game room with video games, ping-pong and pool tables. Drinks are served at the poolside bar and at Mano a Mano, a casual club. Rooms are bright and cozy, with ocean or garden views. All guests (adults only) enjoy the free American breakfast buffet daily.ESJ Towers Rooms

The ESJ Towers website is very misleading. Not only is this not a hotel, but most definitely not a resort hotel. It is a time-share-type residence that looks as though it was built in the 1950's and has never been updated. If you are looking for a bare-bones place to stay that happens to be on a beautiful beach, then this is the place for you! We stayed one night, and then switched to a true resort hotel a couple doors down. Thankfully, we had no trouble getting a refund for the last two nights of our stay.

Slow Front desk
The supervisor during this weekend (Feb. 23) did not let my wife and my kids do the check in in spite i talk to him by telephone. referring to security issues. VERY POOR 1ST IMPRESSION

Hotel needs a little updating
The staff was very helpful and friendly, but the property itself is pretty tired. Our room wasn't bad, except the guest chair was embarrassingly filthy and the hall lighting is a little spooky. Fantastically hot shower, a rarity for many hotels in PR, and the indoor garage seemed quite secure. Pretty quiet considering proximity to airport. Would be helpful to point out that the property is behind the El San Juan Resort and not actually on Isla Verde.

Can't get any closer to the beach, just footsteps away.
ESJ TOWERS' location is ideal. The view from the oceanview room with a balcony which I had on the 10th floor was incredible and very romantic. The room was a bit outdated in decor, but did have a complete kitchen with utensils, pots & pans, plates & glasses. Parking was free and easy in the indoor garage. The daily, free, continental breakfast was great, with a variety of foods from dry cereal to eggs, sausage, bagels, fruits and you could even make your own, huge waffle. The pool area was clean, but the pool was small. The only downfall for me was the amount of older people, as in senior citizens. ESJ TOWERS is a (time-share). There weren't many family activities to do with my 6 year old, although there is an arcade in the lobby. Overall its a great bargain if you're just looking for a place to crash, that has no real pisazz, bells or whistles.

Well managed very pleasant!
Consistently pleasant and helpful staff always indicates good management/ownership. Strange review? No. Our stay at ESJ Towers was so very enhanced by the super nice employees that we sought out the owner to say so. Excellent location trumped all other options. We keep kosher, they provided pots and pans! We're already loyal patrons and we've only been there once! We're definitely planning to return. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Great location but needs major updating
The pool was nice enough. The fact that the hotel was right on the beach was also a plus. The free breakfast was adequate. The thing I could not get past were the rooms. Very dated and not very clean. The rooms have not been redone in probably 30 years. Carpet looks like it hasn't even been washed. I have a 2 yr. old daughter and I would not let her sit on the floor. The shower had mildew and broken tiles. The shower curtain had mildew on it. I asked for it to be changed but it never was. The toilet was dirty around the rim. ( I didn't realize that until the last day..really gross) I will not be staying there again unless they do a major renovation.
