Fun and comfort at beachside resort on Isla Verde
Children and adults will revel in everything there is to do at the ESJ Towers. This oceanfront resort is located on beautiful Isla Verde Beach. The vast, seaside patio is lined with palm trees and has a huge pool and hot tub. There is a separate area where kids have a playground and pool of their own. There's a large game room with video games, ping-pong and pool tables. Drinks are served at the poolside bar and at Mano a Mano, a casual club. Rooms are bright and cozy, with ocean or garden views. We found the room to be clean but the carpet looked like it hadnt been replaced or cleaned in 10 years. The room had a damp moldly smell so we kept the AC running all the time to help with the dampness. The advertisement said the hotel had WiFi but when we got there we found out you had to pay $13 a day for it. The complimentary breakfast was great and they gave us about $100 of coupons for drinks at the hotel that you could use at the main bar or at the pool bar. We found little ants in the kitchen and when I told the front desk, they sent maintenance right away to exterminate. It's an old hotel but it served its purpose which was

Perfect location, close to all major roads, airport, staff is great. Great indoor parking, free full breakfast. Our bed was clean and comfortable, great room price...Safe, very safe place to stay. If you have been to Puerto Rico before you'll know what I'm talking about. OK, now for the not so good stuff...hotel room is from the 70's . Worn down and all the kitchen appliances had rust and porcelain chips missing. Bathroom door at some point must have been forced open, the repair looks like it was done by a man with a meat cleaver. All wire shelving was badly rusted. Heavy layers of old paint on walls and doors. The place in need of a redo. I have stayed here before and found other room to be ok. As always, driving here is wild west city, every man for himself. Folks here get behind the wheel of a car and turn into the ''Wolfman".

The ESJ Towers website is very misleading. Not only is this not a hotel, but most definitely not a resort hotel. It is a time-share-type residence that looks as though it was built in the 1950's and has never been updated. If you are looking for a bare-bones place to stay that happens to be on a beautiful beach, then this is the place for you! We stayed one night, and then switched to a true resort hotel a couple doors down. Thankfully, we had no trouble getting a refund for the last two nights of our stay.

Slow Front desk
The supervisor during this weekend (Feb. 23) did not let my wife and my kids do the check in in spite i talk to him by telephone. referring to security issues. VERY POOR 1ST IMPRESSION

Hotel needs a little updating
The staff was very helpful and friendly, but the property itself is pretty tired. Our room wasn't bad, except the guest chair was embarrassingly filthy and the hall lighting is a little spooky. Fantastically hot shower, a rarity for many hotels in PR, and the indoor garage seemed quite secure. Pretty quiet considering proximity to airport. Would be helpful to point out that the property is behind the El San Juan Resort and not actually on Isla Verde.

Beach Front Rooms
It was nice being right on the beach. The rooms haven't been updated in decades. Same with the bathroom, looks like it is still from the 70's. They close the gate to the beach access early. It was quite a long distance to go all the way around to get back to the hotel again.

I had a great timr in PR. The hotel location is on the beach and eithin walking distance to restaurants, public transportation and close to the airport. High security but nice people.

Great Vday Getaway
Nice staff, good breakfast, close to beach, restaurants and public transportation. Good value. Safe, lots of security. Older crowd but nice people. Would stay there again.
