Wonderful Stay - Perfect for Families or Couples

From wonderful service to a beautiful room with great views to much better than your run-of-the-mill resort food (try the Cubano for lunch at the Pelican Grill and chorizo appetizer for dinner at Brasas) to drinks in the pool to swimming during sunset, it was simply a perfect time. Thanks to all.

Beautiful hotel

This place is beautiful the only complaint is that Wifi is not included in the price. There is a 10.00 fee and you have to log on every time you go on line. No free breakfast. that would be nice too. But we loved the pool and beach.

So-so

The hotel was fine; it didn't stand out in any unique way food wise or service wise. The best selling point is its location on a beach.

Wonderful Staff

This was the first time staying on the Western coast of Puerto Rico. The staff here were wonderful. There are great restaurants nearby. It's seen better days but it's was still a great place to stay. They do need to do more with the pool area, most resorts have music playing from the splash bar it was dead and there wasn't a bartender there 3 of the 4 days I was there.

Puerto Rico vaaction

Had never been to Puerto Rico before and was curious. This property was fine overall. No shortcomings. Didn't offer any extracurriculars like tours or anything like that. The did offer a very nice facility, excellent food in the formal restaurant, good food at the pool side restaurant and swim up bar. Very nice beach location as well. They did place us into a room that was occupied but moved us to to a different room that had a balcony. Then they thought we were staying 1 night until we proved we were staying for 3. Not a problem in the end. Lots of good places to eat nearby and there is a new national drug store a few miles away if you need anything. So bring your booking documents when you travel. Overall - very nice and would come back.

Beautiful location, could use some updates

We spent a couple days in the San Jaun area and last minute decided to move to a quieter part of the island for our last few days. We found Rincon Beach Resort online. It took us about 2 hours from San Juan area ( we stopped a couple times to see a few beautiful sites) we arrived before check in and promptly offered beach towels and told we were welcome to hang out at pool/ beach area. A nice young man told us we could store our luggage so we didn't have to go back to car when room was ready. The pool/ beach area was very nice. We check on our room a couple hours later and we were able to check in. Our 4th floor room was a nice size and clean. The balconies on the 4th floor are pretty small, you can look down and see the lower floor balconies are much larger. Also the A.C. unit blows hot air right at you so it is impossible to sit out there if A.C. is running, which is to bad because it was a nice view of mountains on one side and ocean on other, and too warm to go without A.C. I think 3rd floor rooms ( w. Larger balcony would be best. There was a mini fridge, but no coffee maker, that was also a disappoint because I wanted coffee in the late afternoon and was told I could purchase at bar, both were closed and restaurant didn't open for an 1 1/2. It was also an issue in the morning as we are early risers and restaurant doesn't open until 7am. We did have breakfast on our last day and it was not worth the price. I ordered eggs, potatoes and toast. Made us laugh when the potatoes were French fries, oh well still potatoes right? Service was so slow and there were maybe 3 tables seated. We were there on a very low occupancy few days. I'm concerned it would be worse if the hotel was full! If we were to return I think I would prefer a kitchenette so we can make coffee and food. We did explore the town and found some pretty good food options! We also had a few cocktails at the pool bar and they were between $7-$9, not terrible for resort. Cocktails up the road at Picote bar are $4 and $2 for Medalla ( local beer). So a car is needed as nothing is really walking distance and would not want to only rely on resort restaurant. Over all a nice place, could use some updates, lots of black mold around pool area, wooden deck needs some attention and they need to add coffee makers!
