winter getaway
Staff was great! Waitresses were always there when we needed drinks. Food was just average. Make sure you are aware of dress code at restaurants. We had a large group and a couple people had flip flops on so we were turned away. We recommend staying in the tower - great view!

Quality hotel
My first impression of the hotel was that it didn't seem as over the top grandiose as other Mexican all inclusive hotels. It turns out that the hotel has much more to offer once you start exploring around. Having 5 separate pools worked nicely to find the right atmosphere for your mood. There were plenty of pool lounge chairs (and some hammocks as well). They have 2 great activities coordinators who try to get the guests involved in doing fun things, but are also very polite and leave people alone if they're not interested. The food was easily the best I've had at any all inclusive resort. My only complaint is that the bars seemed to close early. Some nights the skybar was closed all together, which meant the last bar would close at 11pm (that's too early).

Amazing value
Amazing, clean hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice to have "all-inclusive" and not carry a room card, cash or credit card. Food was better than average with help needed on the breakfast meats (bacon & sausage). However, the "green juice" made up for it! Room was clean and serviced regularly. Would definitely recommend and am planning a return visit. Went for best friend's daughter's wedding and the staff for the event was amazing. Every detail attended to with precision and it couldn't have gone smoother. Hats off to everyone at the resort.

Best experience in Mexico for me
Staff very friendly. Food was good. Hotel was big enough but not so spread out that you couldn't find your people. It was a very nice experience for 40+ people at a destination wedding.

Shopping tip:
Long walk from hotel
If you want to go to old town San Jose or Cabo San Lucas, take a cab. Not much more money, but alot more convenient.

Long Weekend in San Jose Del Cabo
The wait staff were spectacular! The rooms and surroundings were very neat and tidy. Loved the Green bar as my friend and I liked to call it near the lobby with the pool tables and open air. The pools were lovely as well. The food. Would have liked a little more authentic choices on more evenings. The last evening we were there was on a Saturday in which they had a Mexican theme and had some better food options. Don't get me wrong, the food was NEVER bad. It was by and far very good. I just wanted more authentic Mexican food when I'm in Mexico. I also want fresh chips and tortillas with everything, but that's me. Had a great time and would definitely refer a friend or family.

Very Relaxing
Mostly relaxed by the pool. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. Upgraded to the "deluxe ocean view" and it was not any different from the partial ocean view so I don't recommend paying for the upgrade. When we complained they gave us a pool view which was pretty, but not what we paid for. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Dining in "reservation only" restaurants was great. Worth making the reservation and it's included. Spa services reasonably priced. First all inclusive vacation so not sure how to compare.

Food is terrible
The location of this resort was fine. However, the food is TERRIBLE!! I thought that the food couldn't be that bad - it was a great value for the money - WRONG! The food was mass produced and even at the restaurants where reservations were required, the food was not good. Also, the wine that was included was virtually undrinkable. My friend and I were so dissatisfied that we left after a few nights stay and went to a different hotel which was a great decision.
