Hola Grand Faro Luxury All Inclusive Resort Los Cabos

We went for a wedding. It exceeded our expectations. The grounds were beautiful, the food was good, the entertainment was good. it was an all around great vacation. We would recommend it and want to go back!

The hotel boasts about beaches and downtown proximity yet did not elaborate the the "downtown" you are by is more of the San Jose flea market area rather than actual Cabo San Lucas, and the beach is not a swim able one. The food and drink service were on the better side of most all inclusive places. The staff was very misleading about directions and advice, completely messing up our daily plans. Day 1: "Cabo San Lucas is only about 20 minutes away, a bus is only a dollar or 2 and very close". Wrong. The bus is a 20 minute walk and a 45 minute ride after. taxis are not cheap. Day 2: "San Jose Del Cabo is about a 5-10 minute walk from hotel." Wrong. Try 40 minutes. Day 3: " the sky bar is a great place to enjoy views and enjoy the evening, they are open til 1". We left downtown just to come to spend the night at the hotels sky bar, only to have it closed. Couldn't they have mentioned that earlier in the day? Day 4: last chance to check out Mexican restaurant in hotel bc they alternate between Mexican and Italian restaurant nights. Made reservations that day for Mexican, came to restaurant, it is closed, Italian is open, which we already ate at. "Oh we had to switch it last minute." Great. Overall, just felt like the staff didn't care to be helpful as many of the other people in Cabo were. Our bathroom toiletries were never replenished (used your hair conditioner? Too bad. Need a full tissue box? sorry it's empty. Two people? Two towels? Nope! Just one.) a little odd for a resort. Entertainment was extremely dull. Next time ill shell out the extra money and stay in the center, but if all you are looking for is to lay by the pool and relax, it's not a bad place, just good luck finding a Lounge chair as they are all being preoccupied with towels rude people put on them for hours while they eat and spend time not lounging by the pool.

The hotel itself was clean and the staff friendly and courteous. I would have enjoyed our stay better if the selection of food was more diverse and upscale. There was one night that we went to the buffet and could not eat at all, because we did not like anything that was served. We tried to get into a restaurant, but because we didn't make a reservation, we could not get a table. we had no choice but to eat room service.

The facilities, room and pool were OK. However the food was mediocre even in the "fancy" restaurants at the hotel. For the money we spent we didn't get what we expected and after comparing with other hoteles in the area, with a small difference, we could have had more value for our money.

Great Staff, clean resort. Need some better quality food. Overall, enjoyable

Staff was great! Waitresses were always there when we needed drinks. Food was just average. Make sure you are aware of dress code at restaurants. We had a large group and a couple people had flip flops on so we were turned away. We recommend staying in the tower - great view!

We stayed next door last year at the Royal Solaris and decided to try the Hola Grand Faro...it was a great value. The place was very clean all over and the staff were wonderful. We thought the food pretty good considering the all inclusive aspect of the place and the evening dinning was better than average for an all inclusive. If you are a not a sun worshiper and need some shade this place does not accommodate your needs, as there are very few places around the pool area that are shaded. The Royal Solaris has much better options for non-sun worshipers.

Absolutely everything was enjoyable with our stay! The staff was outstanding and we never felt we were bothering them when asking questions. Great variety of food. Pools were pretty but cold, expected for early March. Cruz in the Mexican restaurant was the best waiter we have ever encountered in all our travels. Short walk to San Jose. Things you need to know. There are vendors that are very nice but they will hound you as you step onto the beach. Selling jewelry, hats, sunglasses, name bracelets, henna tattoos etc. NEVER pay the price they say. They will always come down. The hotel puts a $200 plus hold on a credit card and release the money upon check out. The shuttle service EPIC was horrendous! Took us four days to even get a hold of someone to confirm our return shuttle back to the airport and then they were an hour late on our day of departure.

Always standing in a line up for drinks and food. Food options and quality were poor.

This was my 3rd time at this resort and again had an amazing time!
