30th Wedding Anniversary

Highly recommended by a friend and we were not dissappointed. Had an outstanding stay for our 30th anniversary. All the staff were attentive and friendly. The room and grounds are kept very clean and the food/drinks were awsome. Pool activites and nightly entertainment was also great. I would recommend to a friend and will probably return.

Family spring break vacay

This is my second time staying here and I have to say that 2 years ago everything was excellent. This time there wasn't that much food variety like before. After my 3rd day stay I was kinda bored of eating the same time. Even the room service menu has changed and I wasn't very fond with it. Other then that the staff was excellent. Everyone is very nice and polite. My overall experience was good my family had an amazing time.

Tranquillo en Mexico

I want more! With maintained white sandy beach within footsteps from any where, great near topshelf open bar, and service that's second to non, this place exceeded our expectations. Beautifuly architected, and pleasantly appointed, the property is perfectly situated for beach lovers like us. Secluded to a certain extent, the beach was serene and inviting. They put on a fire dancers show on the beach that was great. And there is a gem on that beach that we loved! It's the pearl in the oyster! The whole place was just amazing. The restaurants are well done and unique with good food and great service. There are a variety of menu items, from traditional Mexican to fine French to spicy Asian. There's even a Hibachi grill! The buffet was adequate, with more than expected standout items, and the outdoor restaurant scenic. During pool time, they provided a snack shack buffet at the barefoot grill that was good most days and great some. And the cafe was just perfect, every time! And those of you with kids will love their Explorers Club. They provide fun and entertainment for children 3+. Our almost four year old didn't want to leave the place. That gave us some adult time, to boot. What's not to love about that! It was a relaxing and very enjoyable 7 days! I want to go back soon and stay longer next time. These guys know vacationers and make tranquillo happen! Pro: Better than average food - some dishes knocked our socks off, others were ok. Con: Would've expected a better salad bar - it was bare bones. Pro: Quality Open Bar - The good stuff and everywhere! The lobby bar was great, the pool bar was awesome, and, my favorite drinking spot, the beach swing bar was THE BEST! It's become my new Zen image!! Con: The premium liquors were rationed maybe, or i drank a lot of it, because they would always run out by 10pm. They also stop serving completely at 1am, not cool for those there to party, but good enough for most. Would've been nice to party late with the boys one of the nights though. Pro: Fantastic Staff - O me, o my, were they friendly! Eager to help, enthusiastic in greeting, and efficient in service! Whoever is in charge of training needs a raise. Con: None!!

Amazing First Cancun Vacation

This was my first time in Cancun. I stayed at Now Sapphire on referral from two friends who has previously stayed. Hotel was very good. Rooms were very clean and BIG. The refrigerator was stocked daily with Mexican beer, water bottles, and juice. Resort has a buffet restaurant plus five additional restaurants. My favorite was the Asian one called, "LemonGrass". Food there was Amazing. The drinks were a bit watered down. I didn't feel the kick with any of the drinks there, so that was a bit disappointing. The staff is amazing and the entertainment is pretty good. The pool is huge with a pool bar that includes stools in the water. The beach had white sand not too hot but the water was very disappointing. Water was a bit murky with lots of seaweed washing ashore. Overall resort was relaxing and pleasurable. I was truly blessed with 7 sun filled days. I would consider staying in an Adults Only resort next time. Not that I'm anti kid, but I spend the whole year working with students in a NYC Public School and on vacation I would like to be kid free.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

If you enjoy sailing on the open water, I would highly recommend the trip to Isla Mujeres. It's about $63 dollars a person. Round trip transportation to and from the hotel to the Marina were you board a Catamaran. Includes snorkeling, lunch buffet, trip to Isla Mujeres and a form of para sailing towards the end. Note that this is an 8 hour trip from beginning to end.

Expectactions

I would like to express my disappointment on our past visit (08/24-08/31) in ... hotel where our family stayed for 7 days trip. We and our friends (8 peoples) have very unpleasant experience staying in your hotel. In a past, we had an opportunity to visit many different places in Mexico (Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Cozumel, and Acapulco), and i found that this stay was the worse. Let me share our concern: 1) The buffet was really mediocre, and it didn’t have varieties what any so-called 4 start hotel should provide. In fact, there was no fish selection, and everything else was really below average quality 2) We had a chance to visit all 5 restaurants considering bad buffet choice, and found that a. Asian Lemongrass and Mexican places had terrible foods. b. French were quite average. c. Mediterranean is good, and probably it was an exception from our dining experience. 3) None of the restaurants on the facilities had air condition, you started wondering how it is possible to not to have in the summer with temperature +30 and 100% humidity 4) a. Hotel doesn't have a Sport bar with TV. b. The condition of the bathroom is so old in the room. 5) Pools: a. There was no any designation smoking area in the pool, and people seem like can smoke everywhere. Some couple smoked cigars inside swimming pool and far off water bar. I raised a concern that my kids could not swim because of smoke and smell, and spoke with guy Leo who was working in the pool area. His reply was astonishing stating that: “That you guys should stay so far away”. Maybe Leo found this funny, but I don’t think that his response was acceptable and professional. 6) Shopping was unreasonably expensive where the prices for swimming goggle starting from $25 USD. This is really absurd, and the hotel doesn't realize that you can find goggle in any US Store starting $7, and $25 you would have paid for most elite professional goggles. 7) Hotel doesn't provide free internet, and the cost of usage is very expensive 8) Customer service is horrible a. I got impression that entire staff was very busy, and not approachable. b. None of the concern that I raised – I was able to get any acceptable or reasonable answer Finally, I would have to admit that staying in your hotel was one of the most disappointing experiences from different prospective: customer service, quality of meal, pricing.

Fabulous!

Place was clean, beautiful, open, relaxing. Food was wonderful! Only issue on preferred check in was the push to sign up for a "breakfast" regarding purchase of partial ownership "timeshare". Highly recommended otherwise.

wonderful trip

Hotel is wonderful, Rooms were spotless. The only 2 things that I did not like were the hotel closing at least two resturants everyday. All food was great. There is food for everyone. Tiles in pool needed repair too. I came here with my adult chidren and their wives and granddaughter and everyone was happy. I would also like to thank the 2 girls Jessica and Erica for the pool activities. They are two hard workers and go beyond and above. I wish them success.

Perfect Beach, Beautiful Resort, Friendly Service!

Better than expected! Pristine beach, long stretch of beach, huge sprawling swimming pools. Food was great with 6 restaurants to choose from every night- no reservations required. All inclusive food and drinks, and room service. Private dinner on the beach was beautiful. Entire resort is sparkling clean- rooms are very well kept, with marble floors throughout. We had an oceanview room with a jacuzzi on the terrace- definitely worth the extra $$$. Spa was very clean and has many amenities and services. Service throughout the resort was great, accommodating and friendly. People working there looked very happy to be there. Overall, you cannot get better than this for the price. We LOVED outrstay and were reluctant to leave!

40 minutes away is an excursion called Xcaret where you get to swim in 3 underground rivers, snorkel, and scuba dive. For $139 pp for Xcaret Plus (less if you have deals from your hotel), you get round trip transportation on an air conditioned bus to Xcaret. There is so much to do there! After all the activities, you can walk around and look at the wild animals or just lounge on the beach there. There is an unlimited lunch buffet included with seafood or steak, etc. The show at the end of the night is specatacular! Bus picks up at 8am and returns by 6pm or if you stay for the show, you will get back to your hotel before 11pm. Well worth the time and money!

best vacation

We stayed in this resort 5 yrs ago for our honeymoon, at that time it was named Paradisus and the service was good, location beautiful. This May 2012 we returned with our 2 year old son and it was amazing! The service was better than 5 yrs ago, staff was very friendly and polite. Now we are planning to return next year but with more friends and family. The resort it pricey, but worth it! Its a place were you can relax, away from large crowds and over crowded beaches.
