El Dorado Royale and Casitas Royale, A Spa Resort, Gourmet - Adults Only All Inclusive

El Dorado Royale is the perfect location for adults interested in a relaxing vacation with wonderful food, fantastic service, and lots of personal touches.

Upgraded at checkin because the oceanfront category was under construction this slower time of year. We downgraded later that night to one of very few ocean views and then was happy. The room was very generic compared to the Cassita we had been upgraded to. One restaurant was closed all week also. Definitely a couples resort too, we were the only gay couple till the last night when another arrived. Mixed responses by the rest of the guests, some did go out of their way to include us and make us feel welcome. Grayline shuttle worked out very well round trip .

When we arrived at 10PM our room was not ready and the guy at the front desk was not able to give us two rooms with two double beds. At the time of checkout they were not willing to extend our stay for thirty minutes, until 12:30PM. We were needed that time because of the torrential rain outside. Again, there are small things that make your stay unpleasant although everything else is great. Still for the money there are much nicer places on Riviera Maya. The experience me and my wife had was beyond great.From being greeted by name upon arrival and poured a glass of champagne, to the amazing food and service. I forgot what time day or where i was even at. It was another world for us.the only thing we reccomend is.softer beds. But we will be back. I cant imagine a better place out there. Everything was so easy. You want it, you get it. Just ask. All inclusive here is actually all inclusive. Thanks for an unforgetable honeymoon.

This hotel was a wonderful experience. We stated in a swim-up Casita which was well worth the extra money. One suggestion we would have would be to book with another company. We had a problem with our flights which we needed to change while in Mexico and this website was not helpful. They do not have a local number in order to call so it cost us $4 a minute to make the international call (after 12 minutes, still wasn't able to help us). We tried communicating via e-mail and it was not possible. We ended up having to book and pay for a separate flight. When we got home we complained to this website. They claimed they were going to credit our account $50 for the inconvenience, however we were never credited. Plus, the $50 no where near covered the cost of the separate flights or international phone call.

This was our second trip to El Dorado Royale and Casitas Royale. we celbrated our 12 th anversary, thier and we deceided to become members there the savings that we now receive as members was the best choice we could have made. Our experience wich grayline tours was a bad experience again. I will never use them again.

Some of the best food you can get at an all inclusive resort. Good shows at night, numerous swimming pools and over a mile of beach.

We have two families that travel at least once a year and sometimes twice a year to various resorts. This was our first stay at the El Dorado Casitas Royale. There were nine of us, five rooms, four of which were in the Casitas Suites. The overall service level was good, and the food quality was better than most resort 'all inclusive' stays. I would skip the candlelight dinner though and anything that has to do with salmon in any form. Wine selections are marginal, but additional wine can be ordered for an added charge. The servers in the pool area (3100s) were phenomenal (thank you Eduardo). Both of our families had a memorable experience. With that said, we will not be returning to this hotel or any resorts within their corporate group. The reason: they told us one thing and then did another. At check in, we were told that our suite 'package' and 'promotion' included BOTH coupons as well as a credit towards each Casitas Suite. We questioned our personal concierge several times on this aspect. She added that we should use the coupons we were provided throughout our stay, so that our balance would be lower when we went to check out of the hotel. At that time, then the credit would be applied to the lowered hotel bill balance. This was told to us as well as our other family and friends on our trip. When we went to check out, the head concierge (David) told us that was not correct. Further, that should our personal concierge have told us this, then she would be responsible for paying back the amounts personally. After over an hour and feeling somewhat blackmailed about putting that type of liability on their employee, we paid our bill. We felt misled, as we relied on what the hotel committed to provide in credits as we spent additional funds throughout our stay that we may not have otherwise spent. The hotel concierge team at the end was 'hard' on the issue and offered zero consolation or credit when the hotel did not live up to what they committed to provide. The hotel did not appear to have a concern for our experience or that we returned again.

From the welcome cocktail to the departure this was heaven! Every employee was professional and helpful! The room was awesomely laid out and extremely clean. We especially liked the outdoor shower after being on the beach. The casitias or shaded beds on the beach and on our balcony were so convenient for shade and napping. Every bite of food was excellent and gourmet . The night time shows were great, I would say broadway worthy. We enjoyed the bands that sang and played before the shows. The spa is opulent as well. The staff is top notch. Would love to go back some day.
