Great Value

This is a clean hotel in a great location in Old Town Vallarta. It is a block and a half from the beach, and has too many bars and restuarants within a five block radius to name. I cannot say enough about the staff - they are friendly and super-helpful, and really make your stay enjoyable. If you want a safe and secure place to stay while exploring the real Vallarta, this is the place to stay.

Super Location, Great place to relax

Excellent stay with good restuarant for breakfast adjoining. Only thing better would be right on the beach instead of 2 blocks away. But then the price would have been twice as much. I couldn't ask for anything better with the super friendly and accomodating staff and plan on staying @ Roger's next year.

Hotel Posada de Roger - Perfect Value!

Stayed January 9-16th and was happy with the value. If you're looking for first class amenities, room service, all-inclusive experience, look elsewhere. If you're looking for great value, friendly and accommodating management, and a killer location in Old Town Puerto Vallarta, stay here. The location allows you to explore the many, many restaurants, bars, and neighborhood food stands and is only 1.5 blocks from the beach. A rooftop pool get sun all day and the wifi enabled courtyard is a great little escape when needed. Keep in mind that you're in essentially the heart of Old Town and there will be some related street noise at times but honestly nothing too invasive. If you're looking for resort living and don't on leaving your all-inclusive compound this isn't your place. But if you want to relax and also experience everything Puerto Vallarta has to offer, stay here. This is my second non-all-inclusive trip to Puerto Vallarta and I'd choose this style hotel and vacation any day over the other option. Cheers.

Casa Isabel - See reviews online. A short walk from the hotel (7-10 minutes) up on the hill. Delicious food and amazing view. If you're not that *nimble* take a taxi as the road up to the restaurant is VERY steep.

Great affordable place to stay

This hotel has great reviews on the internet, that's why I picked it. Location is great, a few blocks from the beach and in the heard of the romantic zone. The grounds are nice- pool, green plants and a nice courtyard. You have to go closer to the courtyard for wifi which wasn't a problem for me, there are tables too, but don't expect to do much computer stuff from your room. We just had a standard room with 2 queen beds, but I saw some of the other rooms that were more spacious and had kitchens which were really nice. As other people have mentioned in reviews the beds are hard, I think this is a common thing in Meixcan hotels, and I didn't think they could be that hard but they really were! I think if you want a nice, plush bed you might have to stay in a resort. All in all, I would recommend this hotel.

Perfect Location for Old City Experience

The hotel's location is its chief selling point. It is not a bad hotel by any means; it is simply a small, no-frills place to sleep. The rooms are small and the doors are paper thin. The rooms have only a chain lock and button to lock them at night. There are no safes in the room. The bathroom, too, it adequate by there is little to no water pressure in the shower. These are not complaints - The room was what it was: cheap and efficient. I was happy to see a few geckos in the room; knowing they're harmless I felt comfortable there'd be no bugs around with them crawling the walls! :)

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Olas Altos is two blocks away with all the sidewalk bars and cafes - The beach is just beyond that - Walk in the other direction and you enter into the Old City section with lots of great restaurants.
