Super Location, Great place to relax

Excellent stay with good restuarant for breakfast adjoining. Only thing better would be right on the beach instead of 2 blocks away. But then the price would have been twice as much. I couldn't ask for anything better with the super friendly and accomodating staff and plan on staying @ Roger's next year.

Just excellence.

Everything is excellence if your expectation is in check. I'm very happy with this hotel and will definitely go back and recommend to everyone. Pros; - The place is cute. All my friends like it. Think Mexican boutique hotel. - The breakfast place next door, Fredy Tucan is top 10 on tripadviser. I like it more than Pancake House (you should try both anyway). Two block to beach, four block to flea market and downtown, close to many top restaurants. Saturday market is right out front. Central but quite at night. - Everything in the room work well, include hot water, fan, AC. There is a community kitchen with fridge. We didn't use it. Too many good restaurants around. Drinking water is provided in the lobby. - Security is good. Main entrance is locked at night. Buzz to get in. - All staffs are friendly and helpful. Cons; (Note: these are not my complaint. Just some point that I would like to mention) - The room has no safety box. Not sure if there is at the lobby. - No fridge but you could rent a mini fridge for $5 per day. They work well. - Bed is firm, pillow a bit flat, no duvet (you don't need it). - The rooms that are above pool and restaurant could be noisy sometime during the day. Not a problem for us. The rooms that are above the court yard might be a bit more quite. - With only one window, one ceiling light and one reading light, the room can be too dark. There is no light in the closet and markup desk. Bring cheap LED lamp with you if that is a concern. - With only one window, the room could be hot during the day. AC help a lot. - No elevator. Most places in PV has no elevator anyway. There are four floors. Ask for lower floor if you have knee problem. Pay bell boy if you have big luggage. Don't forget to tip them well.

Las Marietas is a lot less impressive in person than the picture. I took a tour with Vallarta Advanture. The activities is just go go go. Visibility is not good for snorkeling. Food on the boat is below average. Smell of bird dropping lingering everywhere. Not worth the long boat ride.

Perfect location

The Posada de Roger is located on the main bus line in old town PV. The room was good sized and very clean, the front desk staff was very helpful, and the hotel was maintained very well for an economy class hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel if you like to be where things are happening.

A Great Stay

I LOVE this hotel. It's clean, close to several restaurants, shops, and wonderful art galleries. The rooms are well kept and equipped with air conditioning and cable TV. The bathroom was very clean as well. The staff was very helpful and kind in answering questions about recommendations for places to eat in the area, and in arranging for a taxi for the ride back to the airport. There's also a restaurant downstairs that serves breakfast and lunch which is also wonderful. I look forward to a repeat stay in the future!

great location and value.

Staying in the Romantic Zone is close to the beach, shopping, dining and day excursion departure spots. Posasa de Roger is right on the main street gay and family friendly. . PV IS SAFE!!! This is my 3rd year going there. First time at Rogers, but i would stay there again. It was great to be warm for 8 days in a row. Go back a block or two from the hotel. EXPKORE! Take a water taxi to Yelapa. Great little restaurants, meals of chicken, rice and beans for $4!! My favorite bakery is right across the street from Roger's.

Inexpensive Mexican hotel

Very basic rooms. No refrigerator. However, there is daily maid service, free wi-fi throughout, purified water, a nice pool, and sunning, reading area.

Great for singles or couples

Perfect location (just 2 blocks from the beach), quiet (all rooms facing a court yards), very friendly and helpful staff, nice swimming pool, and my favorite part: community kitchen with view of the mountains, especially for dinner during full moon! Although I was probably the only single woman guest, I felt completely comfortable and safe.

Good authentically Mexican place

The rooms and bathrooms are small but comfortable. Our room was located on the 3rd floor, near the restaurant and pool so it got noisy early in the morning. The restaurant "Freddy Toucans" located in the hotel is very good, friendly staff, and very reasonably priced. Other excellent restaurants are also located within walking distance. Drinking water is provided for free in the courtyard area. There is a community kitchen to fix meals. Pillows need replacing.

Room was clean. Location was great, right in the middle of old town and close to the beach. The room is a little on the small side but clean and comfortable. Staff was outstanding, very helpful.
