Friendly Vallarta Beach Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

I went for a 5 day crash on the beach type trip, and this hotel was beyond my expectations. I cannot believe how friendly and accommodating the staff are: they bring your chair down to the beach, then they'll bring you a beach umbrella, and they actually have waiters combing the beach taking drink orders. No way I expected this from a 3-star hotel. If you want laid-back, save your self the time and stress of trolling the internet and book here. For those who haven't been to Mexico, 3 star is honestly minimum amenities: the rooms are comfy but a bit dated; the buffet is passable but not worth raving over (note: I'm a vegetarian, so I did not try any of the other restaurants); there's no cable TV or mini fridge in the 1 BR rooms. But all I wanted was the sun, sand, and listening to waves while I read voraciously...and a beer or two every afternoon. ;) This was my first all-inclusive trip, but next time I won't even search for other places. At this price point, Friendly exceeded my expectations.

Just back from a 7 night stay at the Friendly Vallarta. We had a wonderful stay. The staff were great and they all appear to really enjoy their jobs which always impresses us because then we know we'll be well taken care of. This is the 1st time we stayed right in Puerto Vallarta as we usually stay in Nuevo Vallarta. I liked the beaches in Nuevo better, but still can't complain about the beach this time either. Good selection of food and drinks. We enjoyed all the resturants. We deffinatly would go back to the Friendly Vallarta!

The staff, food, and drinks makes this a great place to stay. I would definitely go to this place again.

wonderful for a budget all-inclusive! the food isn't the best, but other than that, the pools and beach are great, the staff is incredible, the rooms were spacious with beautiful balcony views, and the weather was perfect. we can't wait to go back next year!

Every time I asked staff Pantera a Mexican drink that has coconut included.It was the best hotel I've ever been in.It was also worth it.If I had an opportunity I would go there again.The omelets at breakfast were the best.The location is near downtown.We went to the flie market by taxi.Every night there was some different show at the theatre.The staffs were REALLY kind some of them would play a game with you in the pool.My last night there was fun because the staffs made a really fun concert for us.One night they even did tricks and gymnastics.

Spent three weeks at this resort, the staff were amazing! Great entertainment especially the beach party! Loved the rooftop restaurant food was good, best clubhouses ever and best waiter is Sergio (double double). Looking forward to going back next year!

Just got home from there. Weather was cool in evening and in morning. Beach was ok but hard to walk and water was to ruff to swim in. The rooms where good except I thought the mattress was to hard. I didn't care for the food at all except for the breakfast. My husband thought it was good, guess I am just too picky. Just your normal buffet and not much flavor. Location was perfect, very close to the beach where I stayed most of the time and my husband loved the infinity pool. The staff where very friendly and fun. Not sure if I would go back just because I like to go try new thinks.

This place has it all!!! My kids, ages 9 to 14, love it here. There are a ton of activities for them. The adults in our party (all 10 of us) love this place. The staff is exceptioinal!!! Anything you desire they will provide!

We had a fantastic time and basically got what we paid for. The drinks and hotel staff was good. We ate meals during the day at the resort and went to local restaurants at night. If you are looking for a cheap all inclusive getaway, this is for you. If you are looking for something nicer then spend a little more money. I was a little disappointed in the workout facility. It was pretty old. Bottom line: we had a great time and didn't break our bank account doing it.

Initially at check-in we were disappointed, the room we got faced another wall. When we asked to be moved they said we could come to the desk at noon the next day and see what was available. Eventually we settled on another room in the corner with not much of a better view but they said that was all that was available. I originally requested to be in the Tower but I think you must have some clout for that option. The food was ok but very repetative, we went off property a few times just to change it up. The resort is very dated but still lovely and the beach is nice. The best part all in all is the wait staff, they truly go out of their way for the guests. We will never forget Sergio (Double Double) especially, he made us feel like Princesses and attended to all our needs in the Restaurants or the Beach. I did notice many people would not tip even though it was AI, thats just not right, these are some hard working people. We would return for the service part, but I would have to have a better room with a view. Many activities available and nice Valentines Dinner and show on the Beach as a well as a Dinner Theatre that was alot of fun. There were four of us girls and we felt very safe there.
