Upon walking into Fiesta American Puerto Vallarta, guests are greeted by an open-air palapa and waterfall, both features that sum up the feeling at the resort. Tasteful rooms face the gleaming Bay of Banderas, while an expansive outdoor pool tempts with a swim-up bar, numerous pool activities and by-the-pool dining. The Big Cheese
Quality Value
As an officer of two companies that developed, owned and managed hotels & resorts during the last 40 years, it's nice to find one, when it's your own money, you smile as you depart. The lobby, rooms and landscape are word class. Palapas roofs, sewed together with palm fawns, are well designed. They give an open effect to their spaces.The restaurants are definitely a step above the industry and up to the four diamond rating for the resort. Staff is very warm without being over friendly. The good and the bad news is that it didn't have a big night life. This is a place to bring someone, not a place to find someone. Now that I think of it, that's the type places you usually find a keeper. We had a great stay, and would certainly return.

Great Staff
We came during the hot & humid time of year but we truly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel was very clean and relaxing. The staff were very attentive. The waiters, bartenders & front desk staff always made us feel great.

Great experience! I had been to Puerto Vallarta a few times before and this time I went out and explored other hotels. Considering the Krystal? Don't do it. Considering the Holiday Inn? Forget about it. Considering the Sheraton? No way Jose! The Fiesta Americana is a great hotel and we were totally satisfied with its ammenities. It's the cleanest and it has the most "tropical" feel of all the hotels in the area. Now lets talk about the staff..... unbelievably nice and accomodating. Every employee at the Fiesta Americana seemed hellbent on making my stay the best. A special shoutout goes to Ramon and Rafael, but really they all deserve special thanks.

Take the bus into town..... it looks scary, but you'll really enjoy the 65 peso (50 cent) ride.

Location, Service and Price...
There is no other place in PV for the price. The personnel is very friendly and efficient. I have gone to PV over 30 times to visit family and friends. We will certainly stay in the Fiesta Americana again. One negative: the air conditioning in the room is too good. Freezing cold if you don't turn it off.

Fantastic
We found the Fiesta Americana a wonderful place to stay. The staff was helpful, grounds were meticulously attended to and he beach and pool were beautiful. The location was central to many activities options and within walking distance to grocery and market.

Puerto Vallerta
Nice rooms, polite staff, great beach and location. Excellant breakfast that came with an outstanding off season rate. Easy taxis and bus to all locations. Completly safe and wonderfull. The most outgoing city dwellers we have interacted with in Mexico. Will rent a car to explore areas around Pueto Vallarta and use this hotel as a base.

A Great Retreat
Very friendly staff, courteous & efficient. The room was clean when I arrived and kept that way throughout. The best thing I liked about the hotel was that it was differnt than the mainstream Sheraton & Marriott type hotels where they think they have to entertain you 24 hours a day. The F.A was fairly quiet and gave a good flavor of Mexican style hospitality. I will return next year.

When you arrive at the airport walk straight through the gauntlet of salespeople out to the transportation area. If you hesitate at all, acknowledge them or establish eye contact they will be all over you. They are very good at disguising their services and appearing to be helpful, when all they want is to sell you their tours, etc. It's better to ask at the hotel.
