Dreams Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa-All Inclusive

Very good hotel. It is four stars but some features equal 5 stars

As a first timer in Puerto Vallarta and in an all-inclusive resort, I loved my experience. Pros -The location is perfect - far away from the noise of the city. -They have a private beach that is really nice. There is free kayaking. -The staff is super-nice -There are 3 pools on the property with one that is adults only -There are lots of activities organized every day so there isn't much of a need to venture outside the resort. -The spa is really nice and has daily deals that can come in handy. -All rooms have an ocean view. Cons -They do have a ton of restaurants on the property but the food at the restaurants isn't amazing. It was good but after 3 days, I was ready for a change. -The check-in process can be a little slow but they give you champagne upon arrival so enjoy that while waiting. -The shops on-premise are expensive. If you forget sunscreen or flip-flops, you will end up paying a lot more for it.

We were there for my daughters wedding. Our rooms were upgraded because they overbooked the hotel. The hotel staff was very accomidating, the rooms were clean, the food was great. All in all we had a great time! We would definately return.

Traveled with my 25 yr old. Food was great. Hotel was very noisy, with party atmosphere from daily weddings, stags, large family groups etc. pool with swim up bar is the everyone welcome one so children splash the drinks, rough games of pool volleyball...the adult pool is much nicer, but limited seating so its a problem. Beach is great, service terrific. No night life, dancing etc for the under 35 crowd.

Dreams Puerto Vallarta is wonderful. This was my 3rd time staying and it gets better each time. The rooms are great (all face the ocean). Recommend getting a balcony. Food is wonderful at every restaurant.

I liked the reception by the staff when we checked in. They offered cool, fresh smelling towels to wipe the stress & sweat of a long travel day away. Nice private beach which is completely raked out every morning. No silly wristbands. Many restaurant choices. Good variety of tasty menu items. Room service was great. Local vendors allowed on site were friendly and not pushy. Close to town but still secluded. Friendly, helpful staff. The only thing that slightly annoyed me was that one of the pools close to our room location was constantly being closed due to wedding receptions. Free wifi would be a good addition in the future.

Great staff, wonderful food, and the grounds are beautiful. The beds since our last visit were much improved. The following are some shortfalls that keep this very good resort from being great. Only one ice machine for entire bldg. No plastic liners for room ice bucket. Very, very limited selection of beer. So many restrictions for the use of the hotel coupons they're basically worthless. No bottled water for the pool/beach area. Called room service twice, we were told both times they didn't have the item.

We just returned from Dreams after an 8-day stay and it was everything we'd hoped for. The room was good. The view was spectacular. The staff were fantastic. We would definitely come back. After reading reviews from other travelers, we opted not to upgrade to the room with the balcony since all rooms have a sliding door and an ocean view. We weren't disappointed. However, we paid $60 for Wi-fi for the week, which we later learned was included with a Preferred Tower room. That might have offset part of the cost for us, but they didn't explain it in those terms. If you end up purchasing Wi-fi, do it through the website with your credit card. You will pay an extra $10 if you purchase it through the hotel gift shop. We stayed in room 1507 with a king-size bed. It was neat and clean. It had a musty smell that is pretty typical of beach hotels, especially older ones. It wasn't that bad, and we didn't even notice it after a couple of days. I was very happy with the size of the room... plenty of space to more around. It had a "living room" area that was great when we ordered room service. The staff was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and seemed genuinely happy. Guadalupe kept our room very clean. Our mini-bar was kept stocked. The even took notice to what items we were using (Coronas and bottled waters), and left extras above the fridge. The bellhops were helpful and quick to get your bags where they needed to go, or to get you a taxi. The bartenders, especially Orlando at the beach bar, were happy to recommend drink or make whatever you asked for. The entertainment team (Oscar, Freddie, etc.) were always busy making sure that everyone was having fun, and staying informed about the activities that were available for their enjoyment. My wife and I made this trip alone, to celebrate our anniversary. But, we would definitely consider bringing the family back in the future. It looked like the kids were all having a blast. There are other resorts that strive to impress but Dreams in PVR is simply impressive on every level. On this recent trip we joined an ever growing community-those who return and will do so again
