Good for the price
The location was great! The service, food and rooms were mediocre. I wasn't expecting much for the price, so I wasn't disappointed.

Good Location - Outdated - Friendly, Helpful Staff
The staff were wonderful, polite, and helpful. We booked a 2 bedroom, with kitchenette. They do not have refrigerators.... Some have Stoves. Ours only had a sink. Definitely not what we expected. If you need those items - do not go here. Food was average. Location was an easy walk into downtown. Would only go back if we didn't want the kitchenette.

Nothing Fancy, Great for the Price !
It is by far nothing fancy. However You Get what you pay for. All the other hotels near by we're almost 400 dollars a night. This is not a fancy hotel resort. You can't beat the price !!!

great vacation for your money
This resort was great! The food was great, the drinks were OK, the room was clean but the bed was hard. If you want it to feel like you are at home.....stay home. If you want to feel like you are in Mexico this is the right place. It's a smaller resort, with the beach being a very short 1 minute path through the snack bar. The rooms are basic but very clean. We had no trouble getting them to fix anything that was not right. The location was great with only a 15 minute walk to the Malecon with all the shops and the night life. They have a nightly show that was ok, the only issue is the supper room opens at 7pm and the show is at 8pm. When they have the show at 8pm they turn out all the lights except the stage so it gets a bit difficult to see what your eating if you have come in late for supper. The only thing that we missed was having a fridge in the room. The big ugly abandoned building that is between this resort and the beach was just that, ugly! You could still see the ocean between and it wasn't as bad as we had read in a lot of reviews. It was just ugly. Would definately stay here again, the friends that we were with had stayed there before and would also stay there again.

Glad it was only for 1 night
Last minute overnight in Puerto Vallarta. Basic hotel, nothing special. Would not recommend, unless you just need a place to lay your head for the night.

Great location and Great housekeeping st
Well at first I was not crazy about the Hotel. There were some minor things that need to be fixed in the room. It's an older hotel so dont expect it to be a top of the line hotel. But for the price you really can't complain. The Housekeepers really do a great job. [...] the bar tender was great and very friendly. The rest of the waiters and bartenders were good but [...] stands out. The food was pretty good and there was an ok selection to choose from. There was always alot of fresh fruits. The buffet restaurant "the forum" was closed for 5 of the 7 nights because the hotel was pretty empty so they moved the buffet to the outdoor restaurant which has a great atmosphere. The Forum Restaurant is indoors and had dinner shows when the hotel had more capacity. The shows were pretty good considering this is a small hotel. The 2 pools were clean. It was mostly families that stayed the week I was there so it was pretty peaceful and laid back. I would most likely stay there again.

Muy bueno!!
We had a wonderful time at this hotel! There was a great number of people staying at the hotel so it wasn't crowded and crazy and the service was fantastic! The employees were always helpful and always looking for ways to go above and beyond! Our room was very clean and taken care of well by the maids each day. The food was great with a lot of choices for the whole family! Great location with really helpful employees! My only warning is that be really careful about which tours or excursions you buy because in our experience it was not at all what the salesman said it was going to be. It was supposed to be an hour of snorkeling at los arcos, which was only 30 min. and they didn't have enough equipment for everyone so we had to wait until people were done with theirs. Also there was a super strong current so there was a couple that got swept away and none of th employees on the boat did anything to help them even though a bunch of us were telling them that they needed help in english and spanish, but they didn't do anything. Luckily a private boat towed them back over to our boat. Then we were supposed to have 2 hours at one beach called las animas and 2 hours at another called Quimixto but it turned out we had to choose one or the other. Luckily we chose Quimixto because it had a waterfall you could hike into and it was wonderful, although we were almost trampled by a runaway horse. Anyways, I don't know if all of the excursions are like this, but in our experience it was nothing like what they salesman said, but we did buy ours from a salesman at Mega, so anyways just be careful!
