Great Location
Nice hotel at a great location. Same owner as Playa Los Arcos and Los Arcos Suites, so you can use facilities at other hotels (like beach access). Wonderful rooftop pool and deck.. Rooms small. Bed large and fine. Bathroom could use an update. Hotel is quiet. A block from the beach and near a lot of great restaurants.

good value for the money, you get what you pay for
Very cheap place to stay at, so you cant really expect 5 star service and food, it is 2-3 stars for a reason. Good: The location of the hotel is awesome , beach is right there, downtown is right there for a nice night out. We felt very safe in the area, there were police patrolling the area so there wasn't one time in our stay in Mexico that we didn't feel safe there. Maid that cleaned our room did a excellent job every day, so our room was clean. One recommendation I will make is upgrade when you get there to a room with a balcony for extra $10 per night, its worth it. The rooftop pool is awesome, not many people know about it so you can relax there and enjoy the view, probably the best thing about this hotel and only reason why I might stay there again. The all inclusive option only cost us extra $28 per day so for that money the food and drinks were worth it, just don't expect much for dinners, we ended up going to local restaurants for dinners. Also this property is owned by Los Acros which has two more hotels across each street, and you can use their pools too, so that was nice. The crowd is a nice mix of American, Canadian, European and local tourists so you will always find somebody interesting to talk with. You can rent jet skies for $40 for 40 minutes you just have to negotiate with sales people on beach a bit, same thing for fishing tours they ask for $50 a hour, but out that $50 twenty dollars is commission to sales people, so negotiate a lot, or ask to speak to boat captain yourself. Everything there is negotiable, they start real high but work your magic and you will get it for half the asking price most of time. There are a lot of activities and trips you can take, from whale watching, to fishing to zip lines... so if willing you can stay very active there and check out a lot of cool stuff. Bad: Food for dinner was bad, it was old, felt reused. (but breakfast buffet was good, and lunch snacks were good too). Drinks are nothing special either they are too strong or just don't have a good taste, their choice of beer is Tecate light which is like MGD maybe, so very cheap, and Indigo I think that's how you spell it, which is dark beer. Another bad thing is the staff at the restaurant is more focused on the customers that are ordering of the menu, so you might need to wait 5-10 min to get a cup of coffee, some days. Beach is full of salespeople trying to sell you everything there from sunglasses to shrimp on a stick to weed, so that is Super Annoying. Bring a lot of singles for tips, from bartender to waiters to people bringing you your chairs at the beach, everybody expects a tip...

AVERAGE, OLDER HOTEL. WE STAYED IN THE BOUTIQUE WING, ADULTS ONLY AND PRIVATE POOL. FOOD AND BEVERAGE WAS AVERAGE, WE TIPPED EVERYBODY SO OUR SERVICE WAS BETTER THAN OTHER GUESTS. IF YOU WANT QUICK GETAWAY ITS OK.

great value
Conveniently located in the heart of Zona Romantica, only a block away from the beach, surrounded by a variety of restaurants and shops, cafes and art galleries.... Hotel is part of a group of 3 hotels - Los Arcos, Los Arcos Suites and Dona Susana. You are free to use any amenities of either one of the hotels. Friendly staff is always ready to assist you and to direct you to many near-by restaurants, shops, clubs etc. Charming traditional colonial Spanish style hotel. Simple but clean, if you don't want to waste money in a luxury resort, this is your hotel to stay in PV.

Nice place plus options
Casa Dona Susana is one of three properties in the heart of the "Zona Romantica", probably the most interesting area of PV. All three had nice pools (all of which you could use) and nice rooms and the staff was willing to move your reservation to the hotel that best suited you. All in all, a nice stay.

Low-season lament
The hotel is located just off the main street, Olas Altas. The staff, location, and price are the most redeeming values. All amenities are located at the nearby Playa Los Arcos hotel. The breakfast buffet was very average seasoned with running kids in the service area. As long as you use the hotel as your base point, you are fine. The property is close to numerous restaurants. Unfortunately, many were closed for low season. So, it wasn't a matter of what you felt like to eat, but a matter of choosing what was available in the area. The desk clerk, Francisco, was very cheerful and helpful. For the money, stay there, but don't get the food from Playa Los Arcos.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Try Takos Pancho or Cafe de Olla on Basilio Badilla. Each restaurant is budget priced and the food is quite good. Had they been open, El Bacaloa just up the street, is an excellent seafood restaurant.

Worst stay in 25 years of Latin America
Too many better places with staff that care. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that the beds are very comfortable. AC from other units placed right next to our window and they ran night and day with fan bearings screaming, Elevator was out most of the time as was the WiFi, the refrigerator did not work at all would not repalce it from vacant rooms. Do not waste your money on the all-inclusive because it is not and the beverage and food is not worth the time. We finally had enough and left to a quite hotel a block away for less with everything working.
