Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Spa Puerto Vallarta - All Inclusive

Ground floor room was damp,and door could not be left open because of security. No chairs available for patio. Key for safe deposit box difficult to get. Wedding parties closed beach/pool area on weekends. But location is superb within walking distance of downtown. Staff was great.

closest all inclusive to downtown i could find and one of the better deals out there. on the edge of downtown so everything was within walking distance. staff was amazing. food was good. be sure to make reservations with concierge to eat dinner at either full service restaurant. only way you are getting seated. buffet was decent enough. staff was very accomodating. friendly. i would recommend for families as they have activities room for kids and looked like they would watch your child all day.

This a very nice older boutique hotel. It is a very family friendly atmosphere, with good amenities. In PVR we always go on the European Plan as there are a 100 great restaurants within walking distance. Go out and explore!

This was first time in Mexico and overall the hotel was acceptable, but could have been much better. Wait staff attentive and friendly. food was not worth prices charged if you were not all inclusive. And the buffet appeared recycled from prior days and reheated too many times. Air conditioning not great in rooms and unable to adjust to your preference. Friends room hot and 2 doors down we were cold. Complained to front desk several times with no resolution. We were told by friends this place has gone down hill since previous visit 3 years prior.

One of the best all inclusive resorts in PV. Staff has been there a long time and I heard from multiple employees that they are very happy working there. This translates into their daily interaction with guests. No grumbling or irriated employees. Everyone VERY friendly and helpful, from checkin to checkout. No time share sales on the property (unlike most resorts in the Hotel Zone). All inclusive here truly meant all inclusive. Did not pay a penny upon leaving (only spent $$ tipping - though it is all inclusive tax+grat). Def. would return and recommend to anyone looking for a resort feel that is close to downtown. Resorts in town have smaller pools, are not on the beach or do not have an all inclusive plan. Dont have children but the child care facility looked amazing! Staff to watch your kids!!

My mom and I came here last week, and our experience was horrible. Check-in took about half an hour: The front desk didn't know what they were doing, then they wanted to rip me off on the exchange rate (and I relented), and then we got to our room and it was TINY and SMELLED. The linens and other appointments were nothing like the pictures: This is really quite a basic hotel with very small windows and below average everything. We checked out the pool, and it was a pretty dirty area. The beach wasn't that great. And then my mom started talking about getting her own room because our one room was really quite small... Instead of "putting up with it" for 3 days, we left. Buenaventura required us to pay for the first night, which is pretty insulting since we came all that way and the hotel didn't match our expectations. We took a $10 taxi up to Garza Blanca and it was incredible - I am overjoyed we switched.

All Inclusive is the way to go. It is a fantastic value. The service by the whole staff is excellent. They really take care of all your wants and needs, very friendly !.

The staff are tremendous. Happy and more than willing to help. We were celebrating a birthday and they collected the presents and had them at the table, made a cake with her name on it, added candles and lit them. The food was fantastic. We did the all inclusive and were very happy. The concierge had good recommendations as well. The location is very good - 25 minutes from the airport and a short walk to the Malecon.

Did the all inclusive and was very disappointed with the food. It was of the lowest quality and usually covered in butter and oil. I wouldn't stay here again.

If proximity to the safe and lovely Downtown/Malecon area is your desire this is the place. Daliy walks into town shopping and enjoying the unlimited restaurant possibilities are just steps away. We've just returned from our 6th visit to the Buenaventura Grand and will be returning. Hotel activities are good for both adults and kids. Food quality has constantly improved over last 8 years making the All Inclusive option a real value.
