Great, reasonably priced facility
Can't imaging another small hotel as reasonably priced, beckoning and intimate as this one. Literally on the beach with pleasant staff and decently appointed rooms. Only downside is proximity to several obnoxiously loud night clubs, although the sound doesn't reach the rooms (just the beach area).

Very nice little hotel!
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. It is small, right on the beach. There are boats right in front of it but we prefer the beach a little to the side of it by the light house, which is a 2 minute walk. The stuff is very helpful and accommodating. Overall, a very positive experience!

Playa Palms!
Wow, what a great place! We loved it! We had the 1-bedroom suite with partial ocean view and loved it! We could see the lights of Cozumel at night and it was so very pretty. The balcony is great!! The staff is wonderful, so very nice and so very helpful!!! A great place, great location, and friendly and wonderful staff!!

Fabulous Hotel and Staff!
From the curteous receptionist, to the friendly and helpful staff, everyone here is top notch. The hotel is beautiful, right on the beach, and central to all the shops and restaurants in Playa Del Carmen. Loved having our breakfast on the balcony overlooking the beach! Would definately stay here again.

My husband and I stayed for 10 days at Playa Palms in Feb. 2013. Absolutely a wonderful place. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Plan to return in 2014. A small place with an "at home" feel. Great staff and great location

Loved Playa Palms
We couldn't have had a better experience at this charming little hotel. Our room was lovely with a panoramic view of the ocean. It felt like home. Cheap Tickets was so easy to deal with. The only thing I would do differently the next time is add a car rental to my package. We plan to go back this winter. Patti :)

There is no end to your dining options along 5th Ave. The service at all of the restaurants was great. Try the Blue Lobster. if you enjoy lobster. Delicious!

Good location, good value
Playa Palms is located right on the beach, which is what we were looking for. There is no restaurant/ bar attached so you must go next door. And the vouchers you get for a continental breakfast are only for coffee, juice, and 1 croissant. I was expecting more than this and disappointed. But the hotel itself has a charm and quaintness that I wanted. It's not big and you can quickly & easily get from your room to--the beach or the pool or 5th avenue! The balconies were rather spacious, ours had a hammock and table & chairs (most did). The bathrooms were nice & well kept & fairly updated. For the price, would recommend...but would ask for better "deal" on breakfast, personally.

The Blue Pearl--right around the corner from Playa Palms, not even on 5th yet. I think it's a "sports bar" as it had a huge wall tv that had on the Olympics and then football, then soccer. Good food, good music, excellent service. (the service won me over) The overall ambiance & feel was neat--a hidden place, nice & full of life!

Great location
Located in the heart of 5th ave and right on the water. Even though the near by night clubs jammed loud music until 6AM....we couldn't even hear it unless we opened a window. All windows and doors use soundproof glass. Everything was great. There was a lot of seaweed on the beach in front of this hotel during our stay...but I know the three previous days there was a hard onshore breeze that probably blew it in. A short walk to the right, and the beach was clean.
