Marival Resort and Suites All Inclusive

overall good experience, air condition was not working very weel in our room, we swith rooms after that it went very well.

I should have known something was up when we went to check in and they immediately offered us an upgrade in their sister hotel down the street. They said there was no catch or timeshare but they were just offering us an upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite. We didn't want this because we had already done all the research on this hotel and wanted to stay there. Our reservation was for 2 rooms. One with a king bed and one with 2 double beds because there would be 3 of us sleeping there. They told us they were overbooked and didn't have those rooms for us. All they had was a 2 bedroom suite there or at the other hotel. Again, it is not what we booked. We were traveling with a single friend and she wanted her own room. She didn't want to share with a family. Can't blame her for that. They said there was no way they had any other rooms and we would have to share. We kept asking if one would open later and they said not for the next week. How can that be. There are people checking out all the time. They told us they had to combine families to make room for everything. We told them we weren't family but we were just traveling together. This didn't matter to them. We even got the manager out to the desk. This whole process went on for 2.5 hours. Ridiculous. Especially since we had been up since 3am that morning. We finally told them that we wanted them to send us home because we weren't sharing a room. The manager finally got on the phone and then told us she could send us home and refund our money (which we really didn't want to do), send us to another hotel (not an option) or if we could stay in the suite for 2 days she would get us 2 separate rooms. Now all of a sudden they have rooms? So we did compromise and stayed for 2 days and they did get us our separate rooms. My point is how can you overbook your own hotel? The suite was beautiful but it wasn't what we wanted. Other than that the pools were good, the beach was good and the entertainment staff was great. The food wasn't the best but it was ok. I have had better at other all inclusive's. The rest of our trip was good but it started off horrible. I would not stay here again just because of that.

Me and a buddy came down here during our spring break. It was nice because it was not in downtown Puerto Vallarta where the crazy spring breakers are. This resort was much more calm and family oriented. For those over 18, many nights there are shuttles that will bring you to the cool clubs and bars of Puerto Vallarta. Overall, it was very enjoyable. I loved all of the staff too.

Great for relazation -swimming, walks on the beach, water sports -AVOID the time share talk (awful) I thought it was just as nice as the more $ world spa except for the lack of day trips

Not going again! Staff was really anoyed all the time. We were expecting a peaceful time to relax but we found an environment of crazyness between the customer service and the tons of people in there. Good rooms and suites but small details like the attention of barman's was key to never go back again.

We have stayed here twice now with a group from our church that does mission work at a very underprivileged church/school nearby. This resort is very safe and comfortable for the adults as well as the children. The staff is very pleasant and the all-inclusive feature make this resort a great place for us to unwind on our family vacation.

This hotel is in Nuevo Vallarta, please not that it is 30 mins away from Puerto Vallarta. Me and my boyfriend preferred this because we wanted to relax and not be bothered by overly drunk people. The majority if the people staying at his hotel was were familys/couples from Mexico. Which gave a more carefree enviroment for us (since we are also latin). Mixed Drinks were okay, the bartenders are super rushed to serve you. Beers GREAT Though!! The only resturants i liked where the ones that you had to make reservations for. The open buffets were average.The Ocean was perfect!!!!! nice and warm, even when it rained it was warmer than the pool. Over we had a very relaxing time laying on the beach. Wish the rooms were nicer, the seemed to lack more space or decor. I enjoyed other all inclusive Hotels better than this one. but the price was all we could afford at the time so it worked and we werent picky. DEF A GREAT FAMILY PLACE

Pros: Nice Pools, Lots of activies for all age kids and adults.. Great entertainment and awesome shows.. Food at Mexican Restaurant was delicious.. Entertainment staff rocks (Paco Taco)Carlos and the whole crew... Those guys are very friendly and fun... Maria the Manager is very helpful and makes you feel welcomed..... Cons: The pillows in room smell horrible (like mildew)... i got Housekeeping to bring other ones but they all smelled horrible and made it hard to sleep... The rooms are ok , nothing special... They need to get new televisions and change room decor.. The buffet food changes nightly and some nights are better than others... Asian night for dinner was horrible but Mexican Night was awsome... Seafood night was Ok nothing speciaL...Overall the Buffet Food is ok for Breakfast , lunch and Dinner.... Snack Bars by the pool and other location were a great... The ocean was very brown due to so much rain and drainage from the surrounding rivers... Its best to travel befor rainy season... June , July, Aug, Sept probably worse months to travel, to hot and muggy... Front Desk not so friendly...

We just got back from the Marival. This was our second time back to the Marival and overall the trip was good for the value. It is a great resort for young families. The activities staff were great, they have activities throughout the day for all ages. In addition, the wait staff in the La Pergola restaurant are fabulous!! The beach is fun and is great for boogie boarding.
