Nice but not what it used to be
This hotel chain has a reputation for being one of the best, however it was a little run down and in need of a renovation. The location is good but the restaurants are first class.

Great Value and Location
The hotel is considered one of the best in the city. The location is fantastic and in, what i feel to be, a safer part of town. it was listed as a 4 star hotel and i agree. its no penthouse suite, but its above the average hotel. As part of a disocunt package, i did not get a balcony. outside of that, the service, kindness, and consistent attitude that employees held was impressive. the rooms were very clean and in great shape, and the staff were always there to assist. when i go back, i will stay there again. absolutely put this on your list of places to stay.

Nice luxury and good sense of security
Nice luxurious hotel where Mexican TV stars and politicians tend to stay. The hotel prides itself on high security and the location, being in an exclusive part of Mexico City. However, Internet service was always down. If you have an issue, you may have to call the front desk several times. Also, the beds are far from comfortable. Also, many Mexican hotel chains don't always focus on the actual quality of the hotel bed, I was expecting better from this particular hotel.

great couple friendly
Camino Real Mexico City stay was very pleasent because the hotel really is an oasis in the middle of a very busy and noisy modern city. The large scale of the spaces make it seem you are in your own personal hacienda. I was in the hotel when it opened and keep coming back after 40 years. The architecture is modern today as it was in 1968.
