RIU Santa Fe
This was the best all inclusive that I have stayed at. Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and grounds and decent food with many options for picky eaters. Location is not bad and short taxi ride into San Lucas about $10usd one way. Here are a few tips, if you plan to use the pool by the beach get up early (7am)and place your towel or bag or whatever to claim your spot or spots. If you don't you may not get a spot if the hotel is crowded. The other option is to use the pool closer to the plaza/lobby area which is quieter and noticably less crowded. Also if you are wanting to go to one of the specialty restraunts, again rise early go to the lobby area and get in line to get a reservation or you can plan to eat at the nightly buffet which I thought was quite good. Tennis courts are nice but also must be reserved on the day you want to use them, best time seemed to be around sunset when everyone else was getting ready to go out or eat or were to drunk from sampling all inclusive drinks by the pool or beach all day. Some of the downsides to this hotel were, weak internet coverage which is only accessable in the lobby area. for those that use skype to call home it reall y does not work all that welland most calls were broken and delayed because of poor internet signal. If you plan to use your cellphone down there be prepared for a nice shock when you get your bill after returning home. If you use it alot you might not be able to go on vacation the next year. Most plans for Mexico cost .99c a min for phone talk and .50c for each text in and out. The hotel does have computers for use of the internet in the 24hr sports bar but there is a charge to use them. This hotel can be somewhat noisy at times especially in the wee hours when guests whom have been partying in San Lucas return and can be unusually loud and obnoxius, the walls are pretty thin so unless you are an extremely heavy sleeper be prepared to be awaken at one time or another. I guess if you can't beat them you can join them. Another cost is if you are not renting a car from Los Cabos airport when you arrive be prepared for a hefty cab ride to the RIU about $75-100 usd one way and tell the driver to take the toll road and you will pay the roughly $2 us for passage on that road, this will save you time and drive should take about 1/2 hour instead of 45-50 mins if not using the toll road. All in all this was a nice and fun place to stay and I would stay there again if in Cabo. I just spent 8 days at this resort and I travel for a living as a pilot. I hope these tips help you enjoy your vacation.

Riu great hotel
Great hotel for couples or family, for a hotel. When traveling with kids, although it is kid friendly, they do not have 2 bedroom units or lock-out rooms side-by-side, so you would either purchase another room or your kids stay in the same room, with kids I prefer renting condos that have kitchen and such. Other than that I feel the food was good to excellent, and since it is All-inclusive all food all drinks are included all the time. They have a small spa and small workout room. Oodles of square feet of pools and loungers around the pools. On a good beach with very few people, a medium length walk to the party beach Medano Beach. Architecture of Riu San Fe is awesome, looks like old Santa Fe. Everything was clean and well kept, P.S since it is so new, I was the first guest in the room I stayed at.

Entertainment tip:
Short drive from hotel
Everything is a short distance to downtown Cabo San Lucas approx 2.5 miles. Taxi rides are $10 to town and $10 back or local transit buses are 80 cents each way and they come to the gate entrance every 10-15 minutes and drop you right off at the new mall, until 10:15 at night.
