Rooms
RIU Palace Cabo San Lucas All Inclusive utilizes bold design elements -- thick columns and lovely arches, for example -- to stir drama in its 642 rooms. A tropical palette grounded in rich ambers, coppers and browns keep the rooms warm and inviting. Lavarino Cosso bath amenities, a minibar and a restockable liquor dispenser add to the comfort, while balconies beckon guests to take in the garden or ocean views. Suites pay extra attention to pampering thanks to a hydro-massage bath tub, shower cabin and bathroom.Dining
The restaurant options are vast at RIU Palace Cabo San Lucas All Inclusive. In addition to 24-hour room service, patrons can visit the many buffets and a la carte eateries offering international dishes and on-the-spot cooking stations. Four restaurants -- Misaki, Grill and steakhouse, Mexican cuisine and Krystal Restaurant -- require reservations.Recreation
A sprawling pool serves as a center for activity at RIU Palace San Lucas All Inclusive, where guests can take scuba lessons or float up to the swim-up bar for a refreshing cocktail. For fitness enthusiasts: an on-site gym, tennis and volleyball courts. For parents: daily supervised activities for kids ages 4 to 7 and 8 to 12 at RiuLand.
Day trip excursions are heavy on water sports, including sailing, jet skiing and parasailing (fees apply), while nightfall brings live musicians.

All in all.....Meh
Do not expect more than what you pay.
When first walking into the resort you are instantly taken aback by the scenery, beautiful ocean, huge resort, multiple pools and a team of staff always at work. However, once you get settled in and start looking at the finer details, cleanliness (of rooms in particular, ESPECIALLY the beds) you start to realize it is not quite the upscale resort that you first thought. The food was very sub-par. You have countless options on what to eat so if you look hard enough you will find something that will at least get you by, but most of the options you will have to "choke" down. The drinks are 90% sugar so stick to something straight and the on site restaurants were not much better than the buffet (excluding the steak house). Do NOT be fooled by the Sunset Cruise or the Snorkel Tour. Bring your own snorkel equipment or buy a set there and take a water taxi to Lovers Beach, you will get pretty much the same experience for a fraction of the price. The local restaurants were surprisingly very good (The Office AMAZING, The Crazy Lobster, Pancho all highly recommended). Watch out when you are in Mexico they will try to take advantage of you every chance they get with exchange rates. I highly recommend getting most of your spending cash converted to Peso's. Also do NOT buy anything from street vendors, yes you will get a better deal price wise but much like this resort you will get what you pay for. All in all I would go back to Cabos in a heart beat......but most likely never again to the Riu. P.S if you do go to the Riu make sure it is the Palace and not the Santa Fe, if you go to the Santa Fe and try to enter the Palace they will ask you to leave.

Great Resort
This hotel is close to downtown if you like to get out and nightlife. We stayed in an Oceanview room on the 4th floor and it was perfect and quiet. It was my Birthday celebration and the hotel brought a cake and wine to the room for me without us even requesting it. The staff here is great and there's always something to do. Overall, it is a great place to stay. The only negative was that it was hard to get reservations for the specialty restaurants and the pool doesn't have hot tubs that are hot!

Everything was great, lots of choices when it came to dining, although not that well advertised. For example, in addition to the centrally located lunch buffet, there was also another restaurant serving lunch off to the side.

First Couple's Vacation
Upon arriving at the hotel, we were happily greeted by the staff ready to take our bags and hand us welcome drinks. The staff throughout the whole trip, whether at a restaurant, or by the pool, were extremely attentive and friendly. The food was decent, what you would expect at an all-inclusive. A lot of variety and plenty to choose from. If you want to dine at one of the restaurants, minus the Japanese, make sure you make the reservations in advance and wake up early to do so. Despite the reservation system, none of the restaurants were crowded while we were there. FYI: Our favorite was the Mexican restaurant and the breakfast buffet. There were tons of bars, including a 24 hour bar, so getting drinks was never a problem. Only the front desk has bottles of water to give out, otherwise you can drink the water the bars give you, it's filtered. The room was at garden level. It was clean and always fully stocked and replaced with alcohol, soda, and water. Although the room was clean, we had a lot of little bugs, unsure if they were mosquitoes or not. There was a digital safe in the room as well. We had no issues with security. There are 4 gorgeous pools and lots of chairs, but you have to wake up early and put your towels on them to save your spot, or you won't get one! We went into Cabo one afternoon. The staff at the front of the Palace was very accommodating in getting us a cab. All we had to do was tell them we wanted one and where we wanted to go. We had a cab within 5 minutes. The cab ride is about $12 into town. We ended up joining a group that was going and that made it even cheaper. Getting one back to the resort once in Cabo was easy as well. Just find a van and let them know the resort you're going back to. We paid extra in order to get transportation to and from the resort from the airport. The van was there when we landed, and got us to the airport on time with no trouble when we left. We definitely recommend doing some kind of airport service. Overall, our experience at the RIU Palace in Cabo was everything we wanted it to be. The staff met every need one could want/need while away on vacation. Our first trip away together was an enjoyable memory we will always have thanks to the Riu Palace!

Couples Relaxing Retreat
My Fiancee and I had a great time at Riu Palace. The food was excellent and so was the staff. Our room was very clean and the ocean front view was amazing. The infinity pools are stunning and the property is beachfront. With a $12 cab ride to downtown- the restaurants and bars are at your access. The nearby Sante Fe hosts springbreakers but not at Riu. It was relaxing and quiet time in the sun. We are coming back!!!

Superb Winter Getaway
My boyfriend and I went to the Riu Palace a year ago with his family and couldn't wait to come back to Cabo again just the two of us. After researching all throughout Mexico, we decided to return to the Riu Palace. Before we left I emailed the resort to ask for a mattress pad and they said they no longer had those, but we could have some blankets on the bed to make it more comfortable. I also asked for a room on the 3rd or 4th floor and they said they would try to accommodate us. When we arrived at the hotel I asked again about the mattress pad and they said they would have the maid bring one to our room very soon. Our room was on the 2nd floor but it was very beautiful. We had an amazing and relaxing trip!

Great Experience
Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas was a great site for a week's vacation Feb. 24 through March 2 and our party of four was very pleased with the resort and its amenities. The service staff members were polite and very good. A variety of good evening entertainment was provided daily. We wanted a safe, comfortable atmosphere where we could unwind and be waited upon while we enjoyed the weather. And we did just that! We thought the food was quite good, plentiful and there was a nice variety. We think that RIU did an excellent job. We felt we were treated quite well and we would return.

The bedroom had a very strong smell of dust, old and I could badly breath at night.
It was good but not great. They cleaned the rooms with a very strong product and in my bedroom the smell was horrible. It smelled like dust, maybe from the curtains, bed and it smelled old too.
