One registered guest in each villa must be at least 25 years of age and willing to accept responsibility for the actions of all villa occupants.
Guests staying on Saturday night may need to change units. The hotel will work to avoid this scenario, but when necessary, management will work directly with guests to streamline this process.
The beach is just the beginning! The resort offers plenty of activities to keep you and your children entertained. Enjoy the oversized freshwater pools, play tennis, stay trim at the fitness center and try your hand at sail boating on the lagoon. There are additional amenities at The Royal Mayan and The Royal Islander next door.
As the sun goes down and the Cancun skyline sparkles with lights, it's time to think about dinner, and there are five restaurants to choose from in the tri-resort complex, each offering a different menu and ambiance.
Location
The Royal Caribbean is located in the Cancun Hotel Zone between The Royal Mayan and The Royal Islander. The nearest golf course is the Kukulcan Golf Club at the Hilton Cancun and Kukulcan Plaza and La Isla Shopping Village are a ten-minute drive away.

Nice beachfront location!
We got a beachfront room with views and sounds of the ocean! The hotel discouraged us from opening the sliding glass door, but we did it anyway to enjoy the fresh ocean air in our room...what a stupid policy for an oceanfront room! We didn't have a good experience after we got our room. The key to the room did not work. We had to go back and forth five times from our room to the reception desk (which was a bit of a hike) to report that the key didn't work after they said it was fixed. It took them five hours before problem was resolved...not a good first impression.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
There is a local bus stop by the hotel which takes you up and down Hotel Zone for shopping, etc. for only 70 pesos each way (less than $1). There are a few shopping malls nearby if you want to shop. There's a R-1 bus that takes you to the port to catch a ferry to Isla Mujeres which costs $15 round trip...this one runs up to 11 pm...there is a ferry you can catch in the Hotel Zone which costs $17 round trip but that only runs until 6pm I believe.

ALL IS WELL IN THE HOTEL ZONE!
Doesn't it seem like everytime you are about to leave for vacation you hear some devastating news about the area you are about to travel to. Well of course we heard the news about some incident in Cancun before we left. But once we got to the airport , our nerves vanished and all was well. We used Thomas More for our airport transfer to the hotel. We arrived late, after 10 o'clock p.m. and it went very smoothly. Our room was beautiful we had the one bedroom suite with the two murphy beds in the living room. We were in room 1118. The full size kitchen was clean, and stocked with any utensils you may need. The hotels location is perfect. The beach isn't ideal for swimming and had the red/yellow warning flags up daily. Their clean pools make up for the rough beaches. Daily happy hour at the swim up bars was great(HALF PRICE)! I would advise everyone to take a trip on their bus system I can't even describe it. Its just something you have to do. One day we took the free transfer to the Royal Cancun. The beaches there are more calm but full of seaweed. One night we did a sunset cruise which was a lot of fun. We went to Pancho Willy's and the resorts bar for karaoke two nights. We took the bus downtown one night to see the night action . Some parts are similar to Las Vegas. Our frst trip to Cancun was very enjoyable and we are glad we didn't let a negative news story change our plans. Like the previous reviewers the only negative thing I could say about this hotel, is the slow wifi. But you are on vacation after all!

Relaxing Getaway
First of all, I am not a member, I booked a standard five day vacation at the Royal Caribbean. Location is about a 20 minute drive from the airport, which is what I expected. The resort is large and has "sister" resorts on both sides, so its easy to explore even further. I knew this was not an all-inclusive deal, but I didn't realize that they required Visa or Mastercard for your account. They do not accept Discover. Drink prices were about what I expected. The on site convenience store was nice. You can get some food items at very good prices, but other items are high, so pay attention. I bought breakfast there each morning for under $5. The pools are large and there are plenty of chairs. The swim up bar is good, but not as popular as other resorts because most of the people here were not the partying type. The gym is nice, but costs $8 per day. No one tried to give me a sales pitch about becoming a member or buying a time share. The onsite restaurant is adequate, although the prices were a little high. There's not much night life at the resort. In fact, the hotel staff tend to encourage people to go across the street to a restaurant and club. We did that once, but I would prefer to stay on the resort property.

Nightlife tip:
In Hotel
Night life amounts to nothing more than a simple bar. They did have karaoke one night and about 30 people attended. I sat at the bar alone the previous night. So if you're looking for a party, I would go elsewhere.

Week Getaway
The Hotel is beautiful, it seems like all of its rooms have amazing views of the pool and beach. The place seems to be more for family vacations or retired seniors relaxing spot, so if you are looking for a honeymoon type vacation or spring break party type vacation this hotel is not for you. There are city buses right outside the hotel that take you to where all the restaurants and clubs are for just a dollar. But overall it was a very nice, relaxing spot.

A quick get-away
A very nice resort with extremely friendly and helpful staff. I wanted to stay somewhere near the beach and this fit the bill. A beautiful, well-kept beach just steps away. A very spacious living, dining, kitchen area. We didn't use a lot of the amenities, but there was a huge, meandering pool so it never seemed crowded and pool activities for those who wished to participate. The only glitch was that since we stayed over until Sunday, we had to relocate for the last day (their normal rental period is Saturday till Saturday). It was a bit of a hassle, but it did give us a different perspective from the top floor of a differently oriented building.

A good place for families
We didn't realize this hotel is primarily time shares and not a full service hotel. Lots of family groups there for Xmas vacation. Many many children. It was pleasant there, but, as a couple, it wasn't what we wanted. Also, a free Sunset Cruise was to be included with our reservation. We called and booked the cruise with Greyline Tours and they never came to pick us up! Disappointing.
