If you're under 50, don't stay here
Everything about the hotel would have been fine (room was nice, location was ok, price was ok), but the staff and security are absolute anti-fun. If you’re planning to go to Cancun, sit by the pool, make no noise and go to sleep by 9pm you’ll like this place. Our group was constantly hassled by the overly strict staff even though the hotel was basically empty. “No noise after 7pm” “No playing with balls in the pool” “Stop splashing water”. At one point they even called and woke me up at 2:30am to complain about something. We weren't even rowdy or anything but the staff was constantly heckling us. Watch out about paying anything extra here – upon arrival we were informed that it’d be $100 USD for early check in. After we decided to walk away the receptionist said he’d do it for $50. After a minute of wondering if he was scamming us he said he’d do it for $20. Once we got annoyed that we were getting ripped off and walked away he said he was kidding, but he would have absolutely taken the money if we gave it to him up front. If you’re over 50 and are just looking to relax and do nothing this can be a decent place for you, but if you’re anyone else I wouldn't recommend it.

Royal Cancun
- Overall a good experience. Easy access to beach and public transportation. Room had enough space for 3 adults and 2 kids. - Although a timeshare (fractional ownership) property there was no hard sell to join. - Located near edge of Cancun and the better beaches are farther down the strip but property is linked to other properties so access to improved beach locations isn't a problem if you want to access them (by private bus provided) - No issues with staff. Professional and available

Great condo-style vacation
I had a great time at The Royal Cancun Club International. They have everything you need. I didn't make use of the services available (restaurants, mini-grocery store, spa, tennis, waiter service at the pool/beach#. Each unit is a 2 bedroom apartment/condo. We had a great view of the pool and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, utensils and pots/pans #and a dishwasher!). The only thing we were missing was a cheese grater! The staff were friendly and the pool chairs were comfortable to lounge in all day. The staff are friendly and helpful. The maintenance of the building and gardens is pristine. I will definitely return next year!

Great Place For A Quiet Vacation!
We loved the hotel, clean, staff very friendly, and beautiful scenery. The pool was great right outside our balcony first floor. The beach wasn't much though for older kids. There aren't any waves and lots of sea weed and rocks. We would have liked an all inclusive resort. Although the food was awesome it can get pricey. Make sure you add plenty of travel time to any excursions. Great place for a quiet stay at hotel kind of vacation.

Wonderful holiday
This resort was amazing. The staff are great. The resort is wonderful. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday then this is the resort to come to. We were staying in a 2 bed, 1 bathroom villa, with a view of the pool. We wanted a ocean view, but we were told that we would have to pay for it. There is a small supermarket there, but would recommend going to Walmart as it is cheaper and more choice, on the local bus either the R1 or R15. Only costs 40p for the ride. The pool and beach area are clean. The view from the beach is wonderful. The sea is shallow, but you can still swimming in it. You can use the resort shuttle bus to go to the other 4 resorts in the Cancun area, which unfortunately i didn't get a chance to use, but i think its a great bonus. For any purchases you want to make at the resort, it is all cashless. You have to use your room key as proof of purchase. Then when you check out, you will get an itemised bill for all your purchases. One thing that does let the resort down, was the wi-fi connection. It would take forever for web pages to open. That was the only minus.

wonderful for family
We are a family of five and the room the perfect for us, it was very comfortable, breakfast is a little pricey for kids, since its only buffet style and my kids do not eat much.

great family hotel
We spent a week in this hotel and overall we were satisfied with the service, the custodians and staff were really helpful and respectful, the rooms were always clean. The only thing we didn't like was that people from the hotel would try to sell us timeshare. In my opinion they were a little pushy trying to sell us something we weren't interested in; other than that it is a great hotel for a family.

Short drive from hotel
Go to a restaurant called "El Cejas" in Mercado 28 if you like seafood, its a really great restaurant and its not too expensive. Ask any taxi driver to take you there.
