The Royal Solaris Cancun Resort, Marina & Spa is family-friendly. The all-inclusive, 300-room Cancun property has an animal-themed mini-water park, swimming pool, fitness center and three restaurants. Its 6,324-square-foot recreation area provides a place to play video games, create crafts and take painting lessons. Adult activities -- theme nights, bingo, fashion shows, aerobics -- cater to kids at heart. There is an on-site spa.

Excellent vacation experience
My wife and i had a great time. Enjoyed the facilities very much. The evening shows were excellent. The service and snack bar around the pools was very good and enjoyable. We spent 9 very enjoyable days. There was space to relax and read, cool off in the water.. The ocean was a little rough, but the pools made up for it. Food and beverages were available everywhere. Everything was close by and reachable.

The Royal Solaris
I went with my girlfriend and we stayed in the oceanfront jacuzzi suite. The beach at this hotel was also perfect and that is where we spent all of our time. We found the pool was loaded with families with their kids so we stayed away from that. Staff is wonderful and I would have no problem going back to this hotel.

Very good hotel at a reasonable price
After a week in the hotel I could say that the location is perfect. The food is good and there is a variety to choose from and the bar in the pool is great.

The Storms
Great Food
Overall this hotel was great for the price. Lots of things for kids to keep busy. Food was good and the alcohol selection was great. Very friendly staff that will go out of their way to accommadate your needs. Rooms were average. Just speaking for our room...Bathroom had lots of leaks. We had to keep towels on the floor to soak up the water. The room was clean though. Our room was facing the lagoon not the ocean and the continuous noise (roar) from their kitchen (guessing) was very annoying. Overall for a family on a budget this was a great deal. Walked to the El Ray Ruins (3 blocks) great deal for about 4.00. Swim with the dolphins is a cool thing to do but not worth the money. The zipline excursion was very unique. The 4 in 1 Tulum adventure with the cenote and skycycle. Must do for the adventure seekers. Not for somebody with back issues. Stay away from the markets. Even Market 28..Prices very high and they are all over you like fleas on a dog. We found that the airport had cheaper prices than any markets or stores in Cancun. Go figure.

Wet N Wild Water Park was worth the money. They say the food is included but not very good. Might want to bring along something to snack on. Look for half price deals on internet.

Good Family Value
Overall we had a great experience. The food is great with culinary school trained staff. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There were a couple things on the negative side that I think a hotel of this caliber should have: An ATM machine and Foreign Exchange!!! I was told go five minutes away to find an ATM machine even though I heard there is one for the staff! In order to change dollars to pesos you had to go somewhere else.

nice but needs updating
we haven't been on vacation in 4 years - it was so wonderful to get away but the hotel consieur kept haunting us in the beginning of the trip wanting us to get a time share - so it was quite bothersome - there are no ice machines on the floors - the room was clean but beds are very hard like a rock and so were the pillows - the food was alright - everything needs updating and they need to offer more for the money -we DID have wonderful pool and beach service , all in all we were blessed to get away that was the main thing anyway

This hotel had everything we needed. Somehow we got an amazing ocean front room with a hot tub outside that we made great use of. The staff was very friendly, and the food was pretty decent. If I were to go back to Cancun, however, I would probably look into other hotels, but I still had a great experience!

Great spring break location
The hotel had a beautiful lobby area with workers glad to greet you and help you. Great spot on the beach. Plenty of food choices and friendly waitresses and bartenders.
